City Express Suites by Marriott Cabo San Lucas

We are in Cabo for some dental work. If you need major dental work, consider Mexico! About half the price of the States and the dentists at Pure Smile are top notch. We used points to stay 4 nights at the Marriott City Suites. We like having a place that has a kitchenette so that we can eat most meals in the room. The rooms in the Suite side are roomy with a sitting area, kitchenette, and sleeping area. The kitchenette has a fridge, sink, 2 burner stovetop and a microwave. There is a coffee pot, but coffee is not supplied in the room so bring that! Or you can eat breakfast downstairs, but we found the free breakfast is not very substantial. You can pay extra to get a more substantial breakfast. The shower has one of the best temperatures and water pressure I have found! A lot of hotels don't seem to have very hot water, but this one was great. However, there are no washclothes, so bring your own on that! Staff does not speak fluent English, but this can be overcome by typing your question or request into a Translator app and letting them read it. Despite the language barriers they are very friendly and accommodating. I am working while I am here and the Internet is fast, unlike some other places I have stayed at in Cabo. The pool area is nice and has a bar. The location is also across the highway from Walmart and about a $7-10 Uber ride to downtown Cabo - so a good location if you are wanting to go into Cabo. There is no beach access, but I believe you can walk to a public beach from here. We rented a car since we were visiting the dentist daily and the parking is free. I would also recommend Artisano's which is a wonderful treasure trove of Mexican-made items at reasonable prices. It is about a block from the hotel.

Nobody speak English. The breakfast is terrible, everyday something missing.

Clean , reasonable , nice pool , very quiet

Location location location. We are Titanium Marriott members & generally stay at the Fairfield in Cabo. We come 2X a yr & thought we would try this one. PROS: continental breakfast, but get here early. There is a small gym, great pool w/a bar, pool table. The room was clean & can make meals w/a full fridge 2 burner cooktop, microwave, dishes. Bathroom is nice. Walkable to Walmart 15 min or less. CONS: Uber will cost you $9.50 US plus tip or more to get to Marina area. Cheeseburgers are $16US at pool bar. Didn’t order drinks at bar. The hotel doesn’t provide washcloths so bring a scrubby. Only 1 English speaking staff at registration/pool area. There’s approx a 20 minute walk to public access beach next to RIU. Coffee pot broken. No kleenex. Freezer iced up. One ice machine in whole hotel on 1st floor. Very confusing for guests who are staying in Citiplus and Citiexpress as both are connected. I think the breakfasts are the only difference? Added pictures. Ignore our messes in room
