very poor service and expensive

Nice hotel, But I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathtub. When I added hot water to the bathtub, a lot of dust and even a hair came out. I had to wash and rinse the tub several times to get it clean. I understand that hotel service is low in Ireland, but this is a 4-star hotel. The price for rooms is high for Europe. It would be great, at least nice to clean. Breakfast was great, delicious.

We had our wedding food tasting at the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa and just want to say a huge thank you to Clayton for the wonderful service he provided. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel so welcome and relaxed. He was professional, friendly, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us throughout the tasting. Clayton took the time to explain everything beautifully, made sure we were comfortable, and added such a warm personal touch to the experience. The food was absolutely amazing, and his excellent service made the whole afternoon even more special and exciting for us ahead of our wedding day. We truly appreciated his kindness and attention to detail and would highly recommend both Clayton and the hotel to any couple planning their wedding. Thank you again for making our experience so memorable.

The Loughrea Hotel was exemplary! The facilities, staff and service were outstanding as usual. A special thanks to the hardworking housekeepers for their hard work! This was about are 10 time at the hotel and I already booked for August 2027.

Hotel room was lovely however restaurant was not accommodating for young kids we were left waiting in a nearly empty restaurant more than 45 minutes for a child's ice cream after staff had told the child about it so we couldn't leave. Found staff in restaurant to be rude, reported to staff on check out but no response since which is disappointing hotel itself though was well kempt breakfast was lovely

The hotel was very lack in cleanliness re -room cleaning ,when we arrived on Sunday there was dust on the table in the bedroom and when we left on Wednesday that dust was still there ,we had to ask for clean towels on Tuesday and also to have our room cleaned ,the staff in the dining room were very lack in training ,there were three young girls who had not a clue how to look after people ,not the girls fault as they were young, all this is down to management and training, we will not be back,

We came here for a wedding tasting and everything was fantastic. The only difficulty we had was deciding which dishes we loved more. Wedding coordinator is fantastic and welcoming. We had a lovely manager Clayton who talked us through the dishes and the various wines. Very knowledgeable and friendly with a amazing work ethic.
