My experience of the Loughrea Hotel and Spa was like no other. The food was fabulous, drinks were cool and tasted just absolutely perfect, the hospitality from the staff was amazing and the 2 bar staff Rebecca and Daniel S were happy to help with any enquiry I had. This is a place I would recommend to any passer by and it makes me proud to live in the County of Galway. Regards Adam Dolan

We just spent €180 on a room here and the AHUs were running directly outside our window all night. After speaking with the manager she said that they know about the problem but can only offer a breakfast in bed.... [breakfast was included in our price] and why would i want to it in bed with a big noisy unit outside. I wish i could upload a video to show how bad it ready is....

Friendly staff, clean room, great view. Tasty cold breakfast. Hot breakfast was a let down. Felt it was cooked, plated & left sitting before served. Roof top garden has potential but it was a let down. Needs some TLC. Plant boxes smelt of stagnant water. Tables were dirty. No bar staff on arrival. Room was dark, bathroom was dark, shower not good. The view, TV and comfortable beds made up for this.

We recently stayed for a wedding and had the best time. Maklowd in the bar especially made our day when he made us the nicest espresso martinis. The rooms were lovely, clean & comfortable. Staff were 10/10. Lovely experience overall !!!!!!!

Io e mio marito siamo stati ospiti in questa struttura per una sola notte durante un viaggio di gruppo ( 46 persone) in Irlanda. Albergo dalla struttura moderna, curata negli spazi e nell'arredamento. Tutto molto pulito ed ordinato. Camera spaziosissima con un bagno grande e fornito di sapone mani, shampoo, balsamo e bagno doccia a marchio Elemis, sinonimo di eccellenza nei trattamenti corpo. Dormito divinamente. Cena con scelta di antipasto , piatto principale e dolce tutto di ottima qualità e cucinato molto bene. Anche la colazione con buffet vario tra dolce e salato e bevande sia calde che fredde. Camerieri tutti giovani, veloci e gentilissimi. Consiglio la passeggiata di circa 15 minuti che dall'albergo conduce, attraverso un caratteristico quartiere di deliziose casette ordinate e ben tenute, al lago che caratterizza il paese. Peccato la ristrettezza dei tempi di viaggio in quanto il percorso attorno al lago stesso, ricco di flora e fauna, doveva essere molto bello. Albergo assolutamente consigliato.

Food 2/10 very disappointed.. mentioned to staff members no one offered to replace meals, no one offered us alternatives or even a refund. We were Told by the manager how great the new chefs were how great the new menu was so we had high hopes but unfortunately this was far from the truth left hungry and very disappointed so take my advice and avoid like the plague.

We had a lovely stay in the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa. The roof top bar on a sunny evening overlooking the lake is a dream. The staff in the Spa gave excellent attention and made customers feel very welcome. I expected the thermal suite to be bigger. The only reason for loosing a star was the staff in the bar / restaurant. Maybe they were all new however I don't believe this. The food was very good however the lack of service took away from it. Either they did not know what they were doing or else they just did not care. Having to wait over 30 minutes to get a drink with your dinner is just unacceptable. Overall we had a great weekend and enjoyed ourselves

Lovely hotel and staff unfortunately the bathrooms with dark tiles and limited spot lights and none over the bath/shower leaves the room extremely dark and this was the same in my daughters room - suggest you bring a head torch🤣joking apart for some elderly people it could be a hazard

I had my birthday on the rooftop in April and it honestly could not have been better. From the booking of the date with Klaudia who was so accommodating and helpful the whole time. To the day of where Daniel and Rebecca took care of us at the bar. We also got food platters on the rooftop which everyone enjoyed. I couldn’t recommend the hotel more the venue is amazing as are the people.
