Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Airport

This was a great stay and will stay again when I come back to Louisville

Staff at check in and check out were all very professional, warm and friendly. We rode the shuttle to/from Churchill Downs and we were very happy to have the wonderful drivers Charles and I’m can’t remember the other driver, grey haired, both were friendly and caring. Very convenient for the Derby. Thank you !! Our room on the 7th floor was clean and quiet. It had mini microwave, mini fridge and Keurig. We didn’t use but it was convenient and everything looked clean. The bed was soft and comfy. Complimentary coffee in lobby was good and appreciated. If ever in the area will stay at this lovely hotel again.

The staff was helpful and friendly

My parents were in the travel industry and hotels were always accommodating should you need to cancel due to an illness or accident. NO MATTER WHAT WAS GOING ON IN TOWN! Not so with this Hilton property. First of all, do not believe that there are no hotel rooms for the Kentucky Derby. As of April 7, this hotel said they have many rooms available. And they are overcharging using the Derby as an excuse. BUT BUYER BEWARE! They are non-refundable should you cancel...even for medical reasons. Even with a letter from a physician. However, we had booked a room here coming in three days early and decided to change it. We were told all that was needed was for us to cancel the entire reservation, which included the Derby days and rebook the dates we wanted. Which we did. No problem. Our room was refunded to my card. Now we want to cancel the second reservation and suddenly you cannot cancel with a refund because they are Derby dates??? And...when we booked the second time we made certain to ask what the cancellation policy was? We were told...48 hours. Now they say 90 days before the event? We booked in March. How are we going to get 90 days to cancel before the May 4th Derby? We spoke to the Hilton Honors people and they said it is a hotel issue. We spoke to the sales rep at the hotel and not only was she curt and rude but she would not budge...even with the offer of medical documentation. NEVER IN ALL MY YEARS OF TRAVEL WHICH INCLUDED THE OLYMPICS AND OTHER POPULAR EVENTS WAS I EVER DENIED A REFUND! And that was without a medical request to cancel. Interesting that the sales rep from the hotel said she would add us to the long list of people who booked a room and now want to cancel and cannot. Feels like a scam to get big bucks from Derby visitors who for whatever reason have to cancel. DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR MONEY!

I arrived after 8 pm and was unable to get food. No one was available to take an order in the restaurant area.

It was a beautiful hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. We did have trouble with the door key but customer service fixed it quickly. There was no body was in the shower though. The one thing I didn't pack. It was a very nice stay. Ravioli was amazing, but pricey at $20.00. it was worth it though. The pool was a little smaller then it looked online, but we didn't swim anyways. VERY comfy pillows I might add.
