Amazing! This was our first B&B experience and it absolutely exceeded our expectations! The Victorian style home was beautifully decorated and welcoming. Allen was such a gracious host - friendly, informative, and an amazing cook! He also makes the best Old Fashioned’s and Espresso Martinis. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing stay and exceptional hospitality.

First time to a B&B and the bar is set so high, I can’t imagine staying at a different one! Allen is the most amazing host and chef! The home is beautiful and you feel so comfortable there! All of the rooms are unique and have their own on suite. We will definitely return!

Sometimes a moment is so perfect, it’s difficult to find the words to even begin to express it. We were married at the Louisville Bourbon Inn at the end of October 2024 and the whole experience was nothing short of magical. This review will be long, so here’s the bottom-line up front: You can feel 100% confident trusting the team at the Louisville Bourbon Inn with your wedding. They will absolutely spoil you and every one of your guests and give you an utterly unforgettable event. We promise, your family and friends will rave about the experience for weeks after – ours did!! We live in Iowa but planned our wedding in Kentucky to make it easier for family to attend. We knew we wanted a small event (~30 people) and we needed it to be all-inclusive so we weren’t running crazy chasing vendors. We wanted to enjoy the process as well as the Big Day! We visited three different bed and breakfasts with all-inclusive packages in the Louisville area…but, if we’re being honest, we didn’t need to visit the other two. The Louisville Bourbon Inn was love at first sight. The mansion is the epitome of stately Old Louisville on the outside, yet warm and welcoming inside…seamlessly merging a high-end vibe with absolute comfort. That spiral staircase in the foyer was practically made for a bride to descend. The high ceilings, glorious windows, and gleaming woodwork on the first floor were the perfect backdrop for an intimate “I do.” We melted into the comfy chairs in the sun-soaked living room as we talked details with Allen. It felt like being home. Of course, we had out of town guests sharing the weekend with us as well. The guest suites at the Inn are nothing short of incredible. The beds are amazingly comfortable, somehow firm and soft in perfect balance. The team has also sourced the absolute softest, most luxurious sheets you’ll ever sleep on. The suites have 1880’s old world charm, but with all the little modern conveniences that take a stay over the top: fantastic showers/water pressure, outlets in all the right places, a steamer in each room, a noise machine to provide a calming sleep soundtrack, and fans to move the air conditioning around on a warm day. We gave our kids the run of the Carriage House: three more comfortable suites and a lounge space, located just across the garden from the main house. The mansion is beautiful, but it was the team that made our wedding special. From the moment we first walked in the door, Allen’s warmth and graciousness sold us. We happened to have our first meeting during the check-out hour, and we watched guest after guest stop by to give Allen a final hug before they went on their way – and we understood why! Allen has a passion for his work that infuses his cocktails and his food. His signature Old Fashioned is crave-worthy. Alan was a great host and the Louisville Bourbon Inn was a wonderful stay. This was our first mini vacation with a new born and the Inn team was very accommodating for us. We stayed at a not so busy time so it was perfect for us to have our baby not disturb the other guests. The breakfast is amazing! If you skip out on Alans breakfast, you're really missing out. If you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere and like bed and breakfasts, this is a must stay.

I wish I could give this Inn more than 5 stars! It is a beautiful old home that was obviously built "back in the day" by someone with wealth and great taste. Three stories of beautiful woodwork and lovely furniture. Our room "Old Fashioned" was very spacious, with plenty of natural sunlight and a roomy bathroom with lots of storage space (welcomed by this gal with lots of "stuff"! ) Allen, one of the co-owners, really made our stay delightful, with his friendly attitude and excellent recommendations for restaurants, bars, and bourbons. And he makes a mean Old Fashioned! With the park immediately across the street full of trees decked in their Fall foliage, the feeling was of a nice quiet neighborhood. Yet the location couldn't be better, with the airport only 10-15 minutes away, and Whisky Row and NOLO each less that 10 minutes away. All in all, we couldn't recommend it more highly.

My husband and I stayed at the Louisville Bourbon Inn while visiting Kentucky. The Louisville Bourbon Inn is a beautiful, well-kept Victorian style home away from home located in Old Louisville. This B&B is a gem that was also beautifully decorated for the holidays. Absolutely enchanting! The Bourbon Inn is co-owned, managed and maintained by Allen Mitchell. His hospitality is out of this world. Allen is a phenomenal host who is also an excellent cook. He is truly a class act! The Louisville Bourbon Inn won the 2024 Tripadvisor-Travelers’ Choice BEST OF THE BEST Award. We will definately stay at the Louisville Bourbon Inn during our next visist. Priscilla Castro
