Maybe because it was bank holiday meant the price was dearer. Definitely not worth £150 a night. But the bed was great. The bathroom a god size. As a guest however I feel I should not have been denied a dink at 10-45 . As the bar was open . But as a paying guest no service. I would not the recommend this hotel at the price I paid. £75 a fairer ask. The breakfast was good. The bacon top notch however.

A quaint old building needing some updating and the beds were not very comfortable.
The food was good, area was quiet and picturesque,
All The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location with nice view from the restaurant, room was clean with good tea making facilities, decent bathroom. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Great value for money

Paid £270 for 2 nights, extra for a river view, window covered by a piece of furniture. Only 2 containers of milk, requested more, didn't have any gave us a jug of milk, OK overnight, but off next day. Room so small nowhere to unpack anything, bathroom was a converted cupboard had the towel rail been switched on would have been burnt sitting on the loo. Was warned that the lift played up on the 2nd floor so make sure you have your mobile with you!!! Not impressed but won't be going again. .

Sunday carvery ! Don’t bother, aunt Bessie roast potatoes dry Yorkshire pudding stuffing so wet was unable to get off spoon, mash potato tasted instant ! nut roast dry full of seeds no taste, carrots over cooked, no cheese in cauliflower cheese, meat ok just a standard crap Sunday carvery. table cleaner put down napkins and cutlery then cleaned table ! Who showed him to do that ?

It’s next to the Broads. Beautiful setting. It has plenty of parking. It was close to where I needed to be - unimportant unless you’re me. An apparently boring pub food menu delivered excellent quality food on hot plates time after time. Super haddock. Super scampi. Super ham. And all with the ubiquitous chips and choice of peas. ALL properly cooked. It’s actually difficult to disguise my astonishment about this place. Terrific value for money and a set of staff that many much more expensive emporiums would die for. Breakfasts as part of the room price were also very good. One beef. I like and need pure unsweetened yogurt. I cannot understand why the offering is zero fat, fruit enhanced milk transformed. That aside? Almost perfect. Would I stay again? You bet!
