No frills comfort in this value-for-money guest house. Very clean room and bathroom, and prompt and efficient response from owners when we needed anything. Can't really fault it at the price. Tea service a nice touch. Excellent location right on the seafront. A good night's sleep. Recommended

Nice room with sea view, up 2 flights of stairs.
Ensuite was very, very small but OK for 2 nights.
Take your own hairdryer.
There was use of a lounge.
Felt it was a bit odd not to see either of the owners while we were there.

Beautiful Victorian house, warm, fresh & welcoming with beach views (selected rooms). Close to supermarket (Co Op), pubs(Plough & Sail especially friendly), The Chippy.

We had a 2 night stay at the Bon Ami for a long weekend in July. Barry and Julie were very friendly and welcoming. Our room exceeded our expectations, we had the deluxe double, which was so light and airy, with massive bay windows which gave us a magnificent view of the sea and beachfront. The bed was a 4 poster which was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room, with a sofa and 2 chairs in front of the windows. The en-suite was very clean, with a good shower and the added extra of toiletries. We had tea/coffee facilities in the room with plenty of choice and biscuits. The breakfast was excellent - very tasty and great choices, served in a lovely room. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more. We actually looked forward to returning to the room!

Such a warm welcome from Anil and Chris. I really felt that nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Our room had a fantastic sea view and was extremely clean and comfortable. Big mugs for tea and coffee were a bonus too. The location of this guest house is brilliant. Recommended.

Barry and Julie were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
Minor items, such as a broken bulb and curtain issue were taken care of very promptly. Please pay cash when you stay, as Bon Ami gets charged for card use, which is not fair on the property.
