The Jam Hostel

The room was quite clean, and the bed was soft enough for one person. However, the fan was a bit loud and noisy at night. During my stay, the house next door was being demolished and rebuilt, so there was a lot of dust and noise from the construction site. If you're planning to go soon, I'd recommend calling ahead to check if the construction is finished, otherwise, your stay might not be very pleasant. It's probably best to book one night at a time. I booked three consecutive nights, but it was too noisy, so I only stayed for one, and couldn't get a refund for the rest.

I stayed at this hostel for one night. From the afternoon onwards, there were insects crawling on the bed, including winged bugs and ants. The bed wasn't clean, so I asked for the sheets to be changed, but when I lifted the mattress, there was a huge stain – it was disgusting. The new sheets they gave me were also dirty. It's okay if you just need a place to crash for one night... The location is convenient though.

I had a really good experience, and the pool was a definite highlight! When I arrived on the first day, I hadn't had a chance to exchange currency yet, but the front desk staff didn't ask for a deposit, which was great. Also, I had booked for the previous day, but due to travel issues, I couldn't make it. Surprisingly, my booking for yesterday was still valid when I arrived today.

The location is super convenient, within walking distance to the city center. The beds have curtains for good privacy, and the mattresses are comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean. The front desk staff are friendly, and it offers great value for money. Highly recommended for backpackers!

This hostel is huge, almost like a resort, with a restaurant, activity areas, and a swimming pool. I stayed in an 8-person dorm on the second floor with a curtained bed, which was clean and tidy. There are balconies at both the front and back.

This youth hostel has a great environment, reasonable prices, excellent facilities, and friendly staff. It's clean and tidy – a really good hostel. They helped with booking transportation, buying high-speed train tickets, and all their services were top-notch. It was my first time traveling abroad independently, coming to Laos, and I felt that this hostel in Laos provided exceptional service. They were also very welcoming to elderly guests. I took so many photos because it's genuinely a fantastic place, and there are many young foreign travelers here.

Luang Prabang was probably the stop I was most looking forward to in Laos. On my first day staying at The Jam hostel, I met a Japanese girl. It felt like a mini-United Nations, bringing together people from all over the world. We chatted, planned trips together, and when I left, I even met some fellow Chengdu travelers heading to Thailand with me. It was a fantastic experience!
