Luang Phasouk Hotel

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels throughout SE Asia but there’s something special about this hotel. It’s not fancy, it’s not the best hotel ever but, the rooms are clean, the bed is super comfortable, the wifi is great, there’s always hot water for your shower and the location is fantastic. So close to the night market and the Mekong river. Your alarm clock is one rooster at the monastery next door and another one by the river trying to outdo each other. Just far enough away that It's not loud but makes you wake up feeling calm Lots of food options nearby and the free breakfast, while basic with a few options of cook to order is always delicious and the lady who serves it is the sweetest, her trying at English and me failing hard at Lao yet totally getting each other had us both smiling The best part of this hotel though is Quynh who runs the hotel, from the moment you walk in she’s got you, an absolute gem of a human. Laos has the nicest, friendliest people I’ve ever met and Quynh is proof You need a tour booked, laundry done, transportation, something printed, anything, it just happens. I kept my room and went up to Nong Khiaw for a night and when I came back, it didn’t feel like I was coming back to a hotel. It honestly felt like I was coming back home to visit family Luang Prabang is a special place and I need to get back there soon and for sure I’m gonna go back and visit the family again
