Vang Luang Hotel

The room we stayed in overlooked a busy road that was noisy 24/7 with traffic, street vendors, dogs barking and people arguing. It was impossible to sleep at all. We asked to move on the second day, but reception guys just laughed and said room next door had already asked to move and normally other options available. He said they normally put drunk travellers in the front as they don’t notice when they’re passed out, which was no help to us with young children. It’s sold as a family room. On the first day there was no power at all, which also meant no water as it’s pumped with no washing and no toilets in the whole hotel. The staff told us this happens weekly, but they don’t have any generator backup. Bathrooms are damp and have a sewage smell. Breakfast is very limited and poor quality. The hotel itself looks really nice, the garden is lovely and so is the pool. It could be really nice, but is let down by some major issue and the staff just aren’t interested in helping with anything. There are so many better options to stay in Luang Prabang.

Not bad area, needs a little  bit of a walk to the main attraction night market, museum, and morning market of the town. Morning breakfast service needs improvements in terms of servicing speed. Overall acceptable may be 3 stars but not 4. Sorry. 

The place is nice and cozy tho the swimming pool is not as big as it seems in the photo but can’t complain with all the cleanliness and amenities. tho there was no elevator and u have carry your luggage yourself by hands.

It was a very good experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The room was very comfortable. Also the bed , all services provided. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend you stay there the Pool was lovely and the water was warm. Breakfast was included but I would give it a 7 out of 10. They should definitely put more thought into the breakfast but other than that I would go back to stay again.

Lovely new hotel. Big rooms, very clean and comfortable and terrific service. Breakfast was a delight. Highly recommend.

Perfect! All places are spotlessly clean. The staff are very helpful. Fantastic breakfast with many Asian options. I highly recommend this place.
