We spent 3 nights at Amanzi as part of a trip through Botswana and Zambia, because of the opportunity to fish for tiger fish on the Zambezi. The staff were extremely warm and friendly. The tent cabins and other lodge facilities were very well maintained, clean, and comfortable, with views over the river. Tiger fishing was successful, but the wildlife and birdlife were the real highlights. Our guide Robert was very experienced and explained the local environment and animal life well, and achieved good leopard sightings every day, along with sighting over 80 species of birds in drives and boat rides around the camp. Clement guided the boat trips, including the successful tiger fishing. Food was excellent. Chef Oscar produced great restaurant quality meals, going through the evening menus in detail before serving dinner. Overall, Amanzi was the best experience we had on a very good trip!

I was on safari for 3 weeks, I arrived to Amanzi Camp, a intimate camp with only 4 tents. Beautiful tents, spacious, confortable, super clean. All the amenities and a beautiful terrace with the view of the river. The camp team was very warm and nice. Oscar the chef explain the menu every night. It is a fantastic camp and I have to say the sightings and specially my guide Robert were the best! Robert has so much experience and as on cue we found the animals we were looking for. He found the best action, the best spot for photographs . I would really go back as many times as possible.

Had the most fantastic time at Amanzi Camp! From the luxury accomodation, to the delicious food created by Oscar, our fantastic guide, Robert and spotter, Clement, the breath taking view, the welcoming and helpful team and not forgetting the array of game on the doorstep - it all created a perfect stay in the Lower Zambezi National Park and created memories to treasure. Thank you team Amanzi Camp!

Amanzi Camp, was perfect! The small team were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The camp is in a great location for a mass of game which meant there were lions and leopards everywhere. The light in the acacia forests next to the Zambezi was fantastic for photography, and with the guide Robs 28 years of experience, he always got you in the perfect spot Thank you for an amazing stay!

Staying at Amanzi was a very special experience. We were a group of 6 and as there are only 4 luxury tents, we were fortunate to have the whole camp to ourselves. Biggie is an excellent manager and from the moment we were introduced to everyone, the service was not only outstanding but so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We felt so at home in these spectacular surroundings with views of the Ngwenya channel right in front of us leading into the Zambezi. The rooms are equipped with everything you need with distance between each for privacy. There is an outside deck with a hammock to laze in and one afternoon lying quietly, I was able to watch warthog grazing a couple of metres away from me. The food everyday was exceptional and lovingly prepared by Ivan the chef who amazed us with the different delicious dishes that he was able to conjure up so far away in the bush. The planning must be meticulous and it shows in the upkeep and running of this magnificent lodge. Robert was an outstanding guide and he was assisted by Clement as his tracker. We saw lots of different leopard, lion and herds of buffalo and elephant with babies as well as the elusive wild dog. At night we were also extremely lucky to see civet, spotted genet and even porcupine. We have stayed at many luxury lodges over the last 30 years and Amanzi is well and truly at the top of our list for accommodation, game viewing (both in the bush and on the river), food, intimacy and friendliness. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend that others have the same magical experience that we had.

Amazing facility with wonderful hosts who saw to our every request. Robert and Celment both amazing guides and Oscar was a wonderful chef. Best thing is after 11 other safaris, finally saw the wild dogs here. They balanced beautifully between the river boating excursions and the game drives…lions, leopards, elephants and hippos daily!

Sometimes you just selfishly don't want to tell the world about a hidden gem that you find. Amanzi is THAT place. It's more than a stay, it is an experience. Wildlife sightings were outstanding! The rooms are private, have full view of the river, are spacious, comfortable and well-stocked (whiskey bar, fridge full of drinks, toothbrushes, etc). The experience of Amanzi is about the people that work there. The cuisine was incredible. Chef Oscar is a truly gifted chef. I really really wished I could eat more! Robert is very engaging, knowledgeable, considerate (to us and the animals!) and personable. Every jeep/boat ride was full of excitement. Biggie is a very welcoming, conversational host. Thanks to Clement for his excellent spotting as he caught us off guard many times. The rest of the staff were so good. We laughed a lot at Amanzi with Robert and Biggie. So many stories to tell about this place. You really need to get there!

This is a small and very intimate camp which was wonderful. We enjoyed having the whole camp to ourselves [our family], the rooms were comfortable and decorated beautifully, the staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful and the food from chef Oscar's kitchen was really good! The boats and vehicles were new and in good condition and the game viewing as well as the walking safaris were wonderful. A great team running a great little camp!! Well done!!
