We had a wonderful experience at the Lüderitz Nest Hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help!

Over the years we have seen many hotels around the world. For the past 12 years we have always been drawn to the Nest Hotel while traveling in South Africa and Namibia. It is our considered opinion that this is one of the very best hotels of any class or price range. Ulf Grünewald has created a true miracle in this harsh spot, an oasis in the desert. The rooms are perfect, the view from your balcony over the ocean is fantastic from a few meters above the water level. Breakfast, meals, and service in the restaurant are flawless. Everytime we leave we cannot imagine that anything could possibly be improved, only to discover on the next trip that Ulf and Daniela have managed to raise the bar even higher. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

We have just spent 3 nights at the Nest. We had a lovely stay the staff where are super Friendly and accommodating Dinner was superb Aswell as breakfast our room was cosy and the beds super comfortable We will definitely return in August, we hope to stay in a Suite on our return

The Nest Hotel was the reason we went to Lüderitz years ago and we have been there five times. Lüderitz and the surrounding area have their own charm and are ideal for relaxing in the sea air - but the Nest Hotel makes it an irresistible destination for us.

The Nest Hotel is the largest, most famous and probably the best hotel in Lüderitz. Our stay was fine. The rooms are tidy and have a tiny balcony with a view of the sea. A stay here is a bit like a journey back in time. Although the hotel was built in the 1990s and has been renovated in the meantime, a lot of things here remind you of a visit to grandma. Plates with flowers and gold rims, lots of unnecessary and old-fashioned things. Somehow with the charm of 1960. It's OK for a quick stopover, with a lovely location right by the sea, a little out of the way on the edge of Lüderitz.

When we arrived, our reservation was not found, but we got a room without any problems, even though the hotel was heavily booked due to an event in town. The rooms are of a decent standard, nothing special and could be anywhere. Almost all have a sea view and a small, narrow balcony that you can only stand on. We used the bar and the restaurant for breakfast, both were good. The pool in the courtyard was covered. The staff were friendly. There are no great alternatives in Lüderitz, the town does not offer much. Kolmanskop, the diamond town, is worth seeing. The drive to Diaz Cross and around the peninsula to the large bay was also very scenic.

Excellent food , very friendly staff and comfortable rooms in Lüderitz which is a perfect place to start your adventure into the dunes and the Sperrgebiet. The staff did everything to make you feel comfortable!

Stayed here a few times, but service standard is lacking for the price paid - not 4 star quality The hotel has the monopoly so are resting on their laurels - will change though as other establishments open up in Luderitz. A pity as the location is stunning

The hotel is a wonderful oasis, coming to Lüderitz after a long, exhausting drive of 600 kilometers it was quite an experience to arrive at the hotel by the ocean. The oysters and lobster served for dinner were very good, the service impeccable, the room overlooking the bay and the famous church on the rock. It was a perfect stay.
