The Cliffe at Dinham

Lovely hotel with plenty of free parking located 5-10 minute walk from town centre albeit no lighting on a short stretch leading to the hotel. Breakfast was fabulous

This is a gem of a place - located just outside Ludlow but within walking distance. The rooms were well appointed with lots of twin rooms to accommodate our needs. The staff were so lovely and helpful - we were welcomed warmly and felt at home immediately. The evening meal was absolutely beautiful and not costly at £30 for a 3 course set meal - with sufficient choice to cater for our groups dietary requirements, and also willing to modify meals on request. Would highly recommend this place to others.

Loved our stay. Great Family staff and superb food. Will go back anytime. Very convenient position for the town and very quiet at night. On one of our nights, the local male voice choir had a belated Christmas dinner, and afterwards sang in the dining room. Great evening.

4 star AA rating for food could qualify give or take for that perhaps as it is well presented and in pleasant surroundings so dinner was good and the breakfast clean tidy and adequate very quickly, maybe too, quickly, served at a strictly stated time when maybe a little relaxing is required before travelling home Visiting a couple of weeks ago we found that what they don't tell you is that the rooms are three star minus being totally soulless, we had a room at the back and was looking over fields if you looked over the very untidy allotments and a caravan site beside and behind the hotel. Bed said to be king but more like a prince with sofa and cheap table come desk upon which were cups and kettle and one biscuit pack no water and we were expected to drink it out of the bathroom tap which is unusual for a room costing £160 or so. Would certainly not pass the four in bed program testing with toothpaste rings on the unit and fittings falling off the wall in various places. Very thin walls which meant that you could hear the conversation or television from the adjoining room as they seemed to have headboards head to head. Yes parking was good but would recommend just strolling down to the river and the Weir for a couple of drinks and or afternoon tea with cake rather than the hotel Ludlow though a good and thriving town and worth a visit does not have much in the way of decent accommodation so it's a shame that this could be one of the best but not worth a revisit so check for yourself as some seem to be satisfied but others who have had rooms not, all depends on your view we suppose.

Excellent food - utterly top class and staff were amazing

Lovely comfortable hotel overlooking Ludlow castle. Spotlessly with friendly, helpful staff. Would highly recommended.

The hotel is ideally suited. It’s a few hundred yards from the town centre and feels like it’s in the country. It’s lovely and warm and well looked after. The room we had was clean and warm and had a good view of the castle. The breakfast was lovely. Particular praise goes to the manager who was helpful and efficient and to the waitress at breakfast who gave us excellent service. I found nothing to fault this hotel and would recommend it.

Weekend with all the family (11 in total occupying 6 double rooms) to celebrate our patriarch’s 80th birthday. Paul and Barbara, owners of the hotel, gave us a great deal. Welcomed by Sarah who was wonderful from start to finish. Dinners on both Friday and Saturday were delicious and beautifully presented. Chef is obviously master of his art and has a team of well trained staff producing high quality dishes. Waiting on staff Ollie and Catherine were charming and efficient. Breakfasts table served and great. Can highly recommend staying here.
