The location is convenient as hotel is located at the border of inner city of Luneberg. The reception staff is gentle with multi-language.

Das Hotel ist keine 4 Sterne wert. Das Zimmer war renovierungsbedürftig (Armaturen defekt, kaputte Glastür am Schrank, Schrauben in der Wand aber kein Bild...)
Im Restaurant war ein Treppenhandlauf sehr locker. Nicht ungefährlich für viele ältere Hotelgäste.
Obwohl das Hotel am Wochenende offensichtlich immer gut besucht ist, wird am Personal gespart. Beim Frühstück waren zwei Mitarbeiter im Service und mit der Menge der Gäste total überfordert. Tische werden nicht zugewiesen und nicht neu eingedeckt. Es gab phasenweise keine Teekannen, keine Säfte,keine Gläser...
Das Personal war trotzdem sehr freundlich und kann einem ob der Arbeitsbedingungen echt leid tun.
Lobend ist zu erwähnen, dass das Frühstücksbuffet sehr reichhaltig und qualitativ gut war.
Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es kein WLan.

Die Lage ist einfach überragend. Die Betten sind einfach nur schön zum Schlafen. Das Servicepersonal gibt alles. Der Klavierspieler am Freitag & Samstag war wirklich gut.
Das Hotel hatte aber schon bessere Zeiten.
KEIN WLAN VERFÜGBAR. Telekom Internetverbindung: "E" mit einem Balken.
Frühstück: nicht ausreichend Eierbecher für alle - ungenügende Anzahl Becher für Latte Macchiato (keine da, oder Rückstau beim Abwasch?), Ausfall der beiden Kaffeevollautomaten, Ausfall des Heißwasser Samowars. Übersichtliche Anzahl an Snacks im Glas (nur die ersten 10 Personen bekamen etwas, und es wurde nicht aufgefüllt).
Reparaturstau im Badezimmer, und defekter WC-Deckel der vorübergehend mit Tape dürftig geflickt war. Abgerissenes Equipment, man kann nur erahnen was dort mal hing.
Schade, für diese Übernachtungspreise hatte ich erwartet, dass wenigstens WLAN oder wenigstens Kaffee- und Eierbecher für die Anzahl der gebuchten Zimmer verfügbar gewesen wären.

Great location right on the Ilmenau, close to the center. Extremely friendly staff. Free drinks from the minibar on the day of arrival. Compromises only for the somewhat old-fashioned room furnishings. There are even modem sockets on the desk.
