Very nice B&B, with a strong Victorian ambiance. We were a family group of 12 people, young and Old, and got 6 rooms. All spacious. The Location is oké once you are en route to Kruger or Panorama route. Lydenburg and the B&B location itself are nothing special. Nice garden with swimmingpool and a bar available. Staff (Francis and family) is very kind and helpfull. She advised Crust Café for diner which was very good. Seperate breakfast room offers a good breakfast although Some choice in ham, bacon or salami should be added. We surely recommend this place!

Our stay in suite no. 10 was beautiful. My wife fell in love with the decor and theme. We appreciated the effort put into explaining and showing the history of your amazing town and guest house. Please put coasters in the room for future use as we were so concerned that our drinks glasses would damage/leave marks on the beautiful antique furniture in the room.

I had the best time staying at De Ark, the place is absolutely and filled with culture. The food i had was amazing and inspired me try some of the menus at home. The service was excellent the staff went out of their way to make sure we have a great stay and we feel taken care of . The room are beautiful and represent a significant part of history.

thoroughly enjoyed our stay at De Ark Guesthouse . After our arrival i honestly wished i could have stayed on longer than the 1 night we booked. Amelia was just amazing. a kind and warm hearted individual that really went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible . we booked 5 rooms and Amelia took us personally to each room for us to have a look. the entire guesthouse is just amazing. each room decorated differently from the other. the décor and the finishing touches are just out of this world. the attention to detail on everything is second to none. walking around the guesthouse you would have never have felt you were in Lydenburg. the ambiance of the guesthouse made me feel like i was in another time zone . My children spent 2 hours just walking around taking photos of the amazing place . Each room was fully stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and delicious fresh rusks. from management to the owners to every staff member on site you were amazing we received excellent service for the most affordable rates offered. if i ever come back to Lydenburg there is only 1 place i would stay De Ark Guesthouse thank you Amelia and team

We have stayed at De Ark during May 2022. The rooms are lovely, the property is beautiful with manicured gardens. The rooms are spacious. The Owners were just so warm and inviting like meeting an old friends. Safe and secure parking A cozy bar, called the Fox and Fickle was a welcomed stop for a nightcap and chat I would definitely stay there again when in Lydenburg.

Rustig gelegen, gastvrije onthaal. Kamers zijn in oude Victoriaanse stijl ingericht en geen achterstallig onderhoud. Ook brandschoon. Parkeren kan in de tuin. Alles aanwezig op kamer. Het is een leuk overnachtingsadres in Lydenburg.

What a fabulous place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in room 10, the Louis the 14th room. Loved the funky Baroque decor, fantastic bathtub, and sunset view! The room was fully equipped with everything we needed and it was a very relaxing interlude on our 5-week journey around southern Africa. Definitely the best, most reasonably priced accommodation we stayed at. Since we were unable to stay for breakfast, the owners prepared a wonderful take away, pack. These people definitely strive for customer satisfaction!
