Villa Florentine

Fantastic views overlooking Lyon, but make sure you get a room with a view - ours was looking onto the street behind the hotel = lousy. We did enjoy the fancy (and expensive) dinner in their restaurant and also lite dinner on the bar patio.

What a beautiful hotel. Eating in the restaurant with the amazing view and food that simply didn’t stop coming was a real treat. Comfy beds. Really clean. The staff were fantastic. Couldn’t do more for you. It is based at the top of a significant amount of steps but taxis easily caught up and down. Loved it and would highly recommend.

A place you don’t want or need to leave. The breakfast for the gods, a UNESCO site, a spa, gorgeous pool and impeccable service. It’s our third time there and it’s the only place for us. It’s truly special. Ann and her team always make it extra special. Bravo!

Lovely property with very attentive staff. Easy access to Vieux Lyon yet you must be in good shape if strolling the area, stairs and hills.

Would have given this hotel a 5 star review but the wicked witch of the west had to spoil a job well done by the men by sprinkling a little bit of hate and condescension where none was warranted. Great spa/hammam and good breakfast

We had an exceptional stay at Villa Florentine and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Set in a stunning renovated convent, the room was impeccably clean and the staff consistently attentive. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety and healthy options. The steps leading to the hotel helped offset the delicious meals of Lyon. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Superb hotel with excellent staff. Ideal location in the city near old town and cathedral. A short walk away from restaurants and shopping -- we enjoyed the silk shops and typical Lyon Boucherons. I only wish my stay was longer than three days.
