Inn on the Prom at the Fernlea Hotel

we had a lovely 2 night stay here just me and husband. Staff were lovely hotel was really nice pool especially room was good everywhere was clean, entertainment we only seen Fridays so cannot comment on the Saturdays but it was nice and relaxing a very chilled atmosphere the bar was very expensive, Breakfast was very good we enjoyed both days plenty to choose from we do eat more cereal and yoghurts to be fair but what we tried was nice staff were super nice at breakfast the staff are a credit to the hotel they also have free parking which is always a bonus and an outdoor bar with a nice seating area we would stay here again and we would recommend to others

Love this Hotel, winter or summer, the service is great. Pool, Gym, Food, Rooms and staff are perfect. And the location facing the sea is a bonus.

Poor run down property - room titles don’t match those on other sites so uneasy to price up. Staff seem ok but hotel grubby pool cold sauna filthy Totally overpriced - breakfast was served at a station but undercooked. We ordered food at dinner steaks like shoe leather and extras were cold. Entertainment was excellent and hotel was well positioned. We went on a “Dance night” car park overloaded and our rooms were cramped and grubby whilst the group party tended to get the better rooms. Steer clear you’ll be disappointed.

Great staff lovely food lovely rooms on the sea front short walk to shops and cafes small arcades and miniature fun fair for children on the beach front lovely train cafe serving food and drinks lovely fish and chip shop you can eat out side or take away

Just arrived back from another short stay at Inn on the Prom. Family of 5 ( grown up kids with mum and Dad). Check in was very prompt and welcoming , rooms ready and waiting for us. They put our 3 rooms next door to each other which was great. The bedrooms areas very nice. Love the seaside theme. They actual look like some thought and care has gone into the design of the rooms. There's lots of good storage and bedroom area very spacious. Cleaners never really get much credit, but they really should do..... room very clean and well presented. The outside corridor also very clean. The bathroom was a bit tired, but nice size and again spotless. The only fault ( minor), would be the showers need updating. All the staff are very professional and excellent at what they do. The pool and sauna was great. Had a fun time in there . We didn't eat dinner as we do like to try some of the local restaurants. But breakfast was excellent. The food well cooked, presented and a good choice. Staff again very good. Bar area very relaxing, good variety of drinks with great service. Thanks for a great stay..... it was just what we all needed.

Not impressed. If you want a dog friendly hotel then this is a place for you We love dogs, but not jumping up on the chairs and settees, we don’t want your dog hairs thank you Anyway it’s Unhygienic. We were met on Good Friday with a massive dog, slobbering just by reception. Awful. Owners did nothing. First of all the good bits, nice and plentiful breakfast and we had one nice evening meal Now the bad stuff, In the late afternoon on Friday, no heat in room, so go to reception and told It’s on a timer, then get it off the timer, and TBF it was fixed, but only to suffer it being on all through The night, next morning complain and the timer gets another mention, this is controlled heat of course I ask please ensure it’s fixed and not on during the night again as I suffer with hot flushes due to Cancer treatment. Well it happened again. And once again the timer gets a mention. Sunday night heating on full blast! I can’t cope and at 10.30 I seek out the night man, called Rod and he was brilliant and got me a fan. It worked…Why wasn’t I offered one earlier. Reception were not very good at all. We had a small room no 54 And it got very hot. They weren’t listening, apart from one lady who got it working again on Friday. Wafer thin toilet paper, no sani bags in toilet. No grab rails in shower which was a trickle.

Very friendly and great location. Also lots to do.. snooker room pool sauna live bands and very comfortable and also reasonable prices. Facing the beach we also took our dog and they gave us an extra sized room. Needs some updating re bathrooms and sauna a little worn and drinks at bar flat ... breakfast egg over cooked but little tweaks would make this move up a notch which would be great as we still wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

Went here bank holiday Monday for the Sunday club. Normally on a Sunday but being a bank holiday it is held in Monday. The band was brilliant as usual as were the staff. Always very friendly and helpful. An added bonus was the appearance of Roy Walker who gave us a couple of songs. Never knew you could sing Roy Will be returning next Sunday for another good afternoon/night.

I was the partner of the last person, I thought it was 2 as I had to sleep in the bloody bed! The response from the management was shameful. Service in the bistro bar was terrible, obviously family members because of hearing mum please don't make me be floater. The Bistro manager was unorganised and seemed confused on the new menu n couldn't control her family staff. Food 8/10 n service 4/10 We were at the back of the hotel pass the swimming pool, no do not disturb signs or clean room which other rooms had. You pay £10 extra for having a dog but you get the worse rooms! Is the fare? NO (Would of been 1 out of 5 but of the chief)
