Clean and tidy

It was great for the family, pool was good, breakfast was great. Staff really helpful

Lovely family hotel , spotlessly clean throughout Booked the sea view balcony rooms and had lovely view rooms modern and bathroom shower was great We picked the dinner option but it was a little too rushed for me and busy in restaurant , usually like to relax and eat with waiter service not buffet . A shame because lovely restaurant decor wise not canteen style but staff cleaning up around you constantly a little like an all inclusive get you in and get you out .Would have been nice to have separate restaurant area as another option .Food however was good choice well cooked something for everyone .Desert options were great especially the ice cream machine But in fairness picked dinner option so we could go straight to the excellent entertainment so was our choice. Had a great night but the reason I have not gone for 5 Stars is simply the bar prices very expensive and if sitting for a few hours way too dear . Wine list expensive and the cost of a Gin and Tonic was ridiculous as pay for mixers which were nearly £3.00 each on top of the Gin . Great staff and lovely Hotel would not hesitate to book again best family hotel I’ve visited along the promenade stretch and the Breakfast was very good and serve a lovely cup of coffee .

Superb hotel. Friendly staff who treat each guest as though they were the only one in the hotel - nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is clean - the atmosphere relaxed and happy. Meals are delicious and great value. Something for all. We were there as retired couple but there were many young families with children, who were well behaved because there was so much organised for them. The sea view is really a beach view as the sea is about 2 miles out most of the time, but a beautiful tranquil view nonetheless.

Fantastic 3-night Easter weekend break with the family. A party of 10 with ages ranging from 2 to 67. Excellent welcome from the Reception team as we arrived early due to long journey from London and wanted to avoid bank holiday traffic. They spoke to house keeping and alerted them and gave us a good recommendation for a brunch in the town and when we returned the rooms were ready for us. Impressed with cleanliness of rooms – crisp white sheets, fluffy white towels, and good room amenities. Well done to the house keeping team. The ambiance and décor of the hotel was fresh and very welcoming. Fantastic facilities for the Children, with small soft play area, small arcade area (which was tucked away and not in your face), wonderful children’s club room for arts and crafts and super swimming pool which was very clean and warm with a wonderful viewing area for those not participating. The highlight of each day was the evening entertainment with a different children’s entertainer each evening followed by family fun which we all really enjoyed. We opted for the half board package and were not disappointed. Both the Breakfast and Evening meal offered excellent choices of well-cooked food with something to suit everyone. The ice cream machine was a huge hit with the little ones. The staff in the Restaurant and Bars are a credit to the hotel. What a lovely team of hardworking caring friendly people. On Easter Sunday every child received a lovely Cadbury Easter Egg which was a lovely gesture from the hotel and a visit from the Easter Bunny. This is a lovely hotel, catering for families, offering a very relaxed environment for the children to make new friends and have so much fun. Thank you for a wonderful break giving us such happy memories, we just wish we lived nearer so that we could visit again soon.

Stayed for 2 nights with our young children. Everything was brilliant.... From the service, evening food, breakfast, entertainment, room etc. Really really chuffed with our stay. Food was fresh and tasty. Room clean. Comedian got all the children involved and while the adults were in stitches laughing. Great location with free parking and the beach across the road. Can walk a few minutes into town for shops etc. 2 little points for constructive feedback: when we visited the pool at 8pm the floors were very dirty and the footbath part was full of fluff. The kids softplay could do with a little upgrade. Overall a fantastic stay and we are returning this weekend.

Check in was professionally done despite been given the wrong room this was corrected within 20 minutes but decided to keep our allocated room as was a lot bigger. And was refunded our car parking fee of £15 , which has gone up 50% from our stay last time but it is secure. Room was was clean comfortable nice toiletries breakfast was amazing glad too see they now have proper cups and saucers. Already booked again to stay.

Wonderful Mothers Day Meal at the St Ives Hotel today. We sat in the bar area on arrival after being greeted by Jen, the lovely restaurant manager. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, bright and airy. The food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. The staff were very attentive and always around to help. We definitely will be returning!!

Lovely clean modernised warm hotel. The restaurant is lovely, quite intimate rather than dining hall experience. Fabulous choice of food both breakfast & Dinner. Chefs are happy to cater for special diets if you ask. Staff in restaurants, hotel & bar areas are so friendly & helpful. Swimming pool & sauna was a lovely treat. We loved it and will certainly be back again soon . Thanks to all the staff that made our HAPPY MEMORIES ENTERTAINMENT AFTERNOONS group so welcome.
