The hotel's location is excellent. The only minor drawback was the room being on a high floor, but that actually made for a very quiet stay due to the great soundproofing. Honestly, the bedding was fantastic.

I specifically chose to celebrate my birthday in Macau and stayed at the Mandarin Oriental. The entire trip was made incredibly special and memorable by the hotel's warm and thoughtful service.
From the moment we arrived, the welcoming staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. They not only helped us with our heavy luggage but also offered refreshing towels and hot tea. Later, when we received a delivery, they even brought it up to our room on a cart. Their meticulous service created a great first impression.
The service during our stay was full of delightful surprises. The turndown service, in particular, was incredibly detailed and considerate. Initially, my husband and I weren't familiar with the hotel's service procedures, mistaking it for routine housekeeping. So, when the turndown service attendant came, we politely declined. Only later did we realize we had missed out on the turndown service and quickly called the front desk. We then discovered it was already past the staff's working hours. We thought it wouldn't be possible to arrange it, but to our surprise, the hotel was incredibly thoughtful. Soon after, a housekeeping staff member specifically came to provide the turndown service for us. This level of understanding and dedication was truly touching.
Furthermore, the hotel's in-room dining service was excellent. Every staff member was genuinely kind, polite, and provided meticulous service throughout. I especially want to thank Hallie and Ray at the front desk. No matter how late we called with inquiries, they always maintained a patient and gentle demeanor, carefully answering our questions, clarifying important details, and diligently assisting with all our booking arrangements. Their professional and attentive service made us feel incredibly at ease.
The entire stay was warm and delightful. From the front desk to housekeeping, from the welcoming concierge to various thoughtful services, every staff member was genuine, enthusiastic, and exceptionally attentive. I truly fell in love with the perfect blend of warmth and quality at the Mandarin Oriental Macau. Love you, Mandarin Oriental, see you next time!

Mandarin Oriental is one of my favorite brands, so staying here whenever I visit Macau is a must. It truly embodies a rich cultural heritage and understated luxury. From the warmly welcoming doormen dressed in traditional Qing dynasty attire, to the bellhops and front desk staff, everyone was wonderful. A special shoutout to the lovely Ms. Ye, the Front Office Manager, who upgraded us to the best view room, personally wrote a card wishing my child good luck on their exam, and prepared a beautiful, delicious cake (with chocolate frosting bearing a message of good wishes). It was such a delightful and touching surprise! Thank you again! Oh, and the bellhop even arranged for a cute cartoon electric cart to take us and our luggage to the neighboring MGM to catch our bus back to Hong Kong 🚌.

Big shout-out to Mandarin Oriental Macau!
This was my third trip to Macau, and this time I stayed in the old town. The Mandarin Oriental immediately caught my eye.
Transportation is super convenient. From the airport, we took the MGM Macau shuttle, and since the two hotels are connected, it was an easy walk to the hotel after getting off. When we went to Hong Kong, we had a private car pick us up from the Mandarin Oriental and take us directly to our Hong Kong hotel. If you're going to the airport, I'd also recommend booking a private car, as the MGM airport shuttle always has long queues.
The location is excellent, very quiet, and surrounded by plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options.
The hotel service was fantastic. During check-in, they specifically gave me a room with an amazing view, where I could see the Macau Tower from every angle. The bathroom faced directly towards the Grand Lisboa, so you could take stunning photos right from your room without even leaving the hotel.
Regarding the room:
The room was huge! Compared to the cramped spaces in Hong Kong, Macau's rooms are so big you could play hide-and-seek. The children's toiletries weren't provided promptly; we only received the bathrobes and disposable slippers on our last day at checkout. The slippers were adorable little bear shapes, very cute, and you could take them with you – good quality too.
Regarding breakfast:
The variety was extensive. I recommend going early; after 9 AM, it gets very crowded, and they'll arrange for you to dine in the lounge, which makes it less convenient to get your food.
Regarding family activities:
I suggest bringing swimsuits; Macau is still quite warm in February, so you can enjoy the infinity pool. The SPA's soap-making workshop was also very interesting. Preschoolers can easily complete it, the process was very enjoyable, and the finished product was quite therapeutic.
While there are countless hotels in Macau and it's unlikely I'll stay here again as I want to try new experiences, the beautiful memories the Mandarin Oriental gave us will always remain in my heart.

The front desk upgraded us to a bigger room, and we could even see the tower from the bathtub. The small details were well-executed, even for a Mandarin Oriental. Overall, we were very satisfied.

It was a wise decision to choose the Mandarin Oriental again for my second trip to Macau. I received a room upgrade and was pleasantly surprised to catch the sunrise. The housekeeping service was incredibly attentive; every evening when I returned to the hotel after resting and before heading out for dinner, I'd find turndown service, a tidied room, and refreshed amenities. The desserts and breakfast were as delicious as always. Very satisfied.
