I was driving from Lyon to Paris via Macon. I was exhausted and chose this hotel to rest for a day. The hotel was renovated from an ancient building. The breakfast was very rural and I had a great chat with the hotel manager. Ps: When booking a room, you must confirm the parking space with the hotel in advance, otherwise you can only park under the tree across the road.

What a beautiful hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Location is perfect overlooking the river Saône and a few steps away from the town centre, its shops, bars and restaurants. The art deco style interior oozes luxury, well chosen pieces of furniture and period mirrors adorning the walls. Breakfast is so worth having, home made yoghurts, compotes and jams, a selection of local honies, freshly squeezed orange juice and an array of breads, viennoiseries and cakes. Not to mention the hot options. Altogether a fabulous hotel.

We chose this hotel for a stopover on our way back from lunch. Very beautiful establishment which has kept its old-world charm. The recently renovated room is spacious, clean and well appointed. The welcome is warm and good advice for a good stay and discovering the city of Macon. Breakfast is hearty. We highly recommend!
