Unfortunately there were multiple little black curly hairs on the shower wall and a thick smear of something on the headboard. The room also smelled strongly of smoke. I would not book this hotel again.

Stayed just one night for an event I’m Detroit. Room was clean, staff was friendly, quiet. The only problem I had with this place was the breakfast. The eggs and sausage were cold and had to warmed in the microwave. Not many choices for kids with the cereal they offered.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m 45 years old from a small Michigan country town. I RSVP’d a room Wed and showed up on a Friday. The desk clerk told me she can’t find my RSVP so I showed her on the phone. She never found me, but rented me out a room for two nights after about 15-20 minutes of nonsense. Then it took equally as long to enter my room. After 3 keys not working on my third floor room, I told the lady to get maintenance. After entering my room, I discovered that the AC doesn’t work. It was 91 degrees when I showed up today. It’s now 11:22 and I’m sitting outside because it’s cooler out here than it is in my room. The AC advertised here is a LIE. I just told the clerk that I want to cancel my room here tomorrow and get a refund. She told me there are no refunds here. Calling the manager tomorrow as I will be at a youth wrestling tournament, Coaching tomorrow. This hotel is HORRIBLE. Dirty and nasty. No tp in public bathroom. Do Not Stay Here.

We were there for an overnight getaway, I have no complaints other than the pillowcases weren’t as clean as I would have liked and the other guest going in and out the door to stairs to smoke. Next time I will request room with balcony

OUR STAY WAS VERY UNPLEASANT. TRIED to book a late arrival it took four unsuccessful tries before I could speak to the hotel. My accommodations upon entering the room felt like a Sauna, and the non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. No amenities as promised. If you needed clean towels you have to take your dirty towels to front desk to get clean ones. Woke up in the middle of the night with the ceiling leaking over my bed at 11:30 pm, was told from front desk personnel this has happened before. The process of moving to the replacement room was very uncomfortable: Had to go down to lobby to pick up the replacement room key. Was told that we had to pack up and be out of the original room in 20 minutes so the ceiling could be checked. Had to pack very quickly and take our belongings to the replacement on the other side of the hotel. With no assistance from management. Arriving at the replacement room we found the door was left open and dirty towels were in the bathroom. The Baymont by Wyndham in Madison Heights, Michigan is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly. The bed was the best. The pool was clean! I felt comfortable. I liked the way the room was setup. The bedding was clean. The towels were arranged nicely as well.

Location was ideal for where we needed to be and the staff was friendly at check-in. Our door was knocked on at 10:20am (checkout is at 11) saying they needed to change the beds. The room smelled very, very bad - but it's an older hotel and a matter of get what you pay for, so we didn't ask to switch rooms. Finally, in our first level room, we could hear every single foot step of the people above us, and unfortunately those people were up the ENTIRE night and certainly got their 10k steps in.
