the hotel was in a convenient location for our visit to Madison--close to Mall for shopping, family, children's activities, dining options. location was easy to find; easy on/off highway access. Not real busy traffic and places close enough to walk within short amount of time,

This is marketed as a 3 star hotel - which it is not at ALL. It is 2 stars for sure. Do not be fooled. Our subsequent night's stay we went to a 2.5 star hotel and had a MUCH superior experience! If you expect 2 stars, you'll be satisfied though.
The staff were kind, but this is a mis-marketed hotel.
