This hotel is centrally located, right next to Retiro Park, making it very convenient for getting around. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is excellent. The room was spacious enough for two people to stay comfortably. The bedding was perfect for a good night's sleep, allowing us to unwind from travel fatigue and wake up feeling completely refreshed. Highly recommended!

A very nice hotel with a relatively good location. Right outside, there's a bus stop that takes you directly to the city center. The room isn't huge, but it's very comfortable, and the soundproofing and blackout curtains at night are excellent.

The hotel is located right next to Retiro Park, on the edge of Madrid's central business district. It takes over half an hour by subway to get to the Royal Palace or the Prado Museum area, or about 15 minutes by taxi. The nearest metro station is a very close 3-minute walk away.
The hotel's cleanliness was decent, but it's clear the facilities are quite old.
I booked a room without breakfast, but for some reason, breakfast was complimentary, which was a nice surprise. The variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was acceptable. You could also order from a menu.

1. There was a machine with iced water and sparkling water opposite the front desk, which was a pleasant surprise! My child had 1-2 cups every day before we went out.
2. There's a small supermarket diagonally opposite the hotel, and the owner is Chinese, so communication was super easy.
3. As an InterContinental hotel, the quality is definitely guaranteed.
4. When I booked, I indicated two adults and one child, so the room was set up with two double beds, one of which was a sofa bed. It was very comfortable and not at all cramped for a family.

The room was spacious enough for four people. It was incredibly comfortable and clean, absolutely perfect for a family stay. The surroundings and facilities were thoughtful and convenient. For breakfast, we opted for the community cafe next to the hotel, which was delicious. The lobby also offered complimentary sparkling water and still water refills, which was a fantastic perk for us.

If you are a traveler who wants to enjoy city nightlife and looking for an accommodation to just go back to sleep after good drinking, this place is suitable. It’s in the middle of the city surrounded by nice restaurants and bars, and 1 minute walk from the metro station. However, we are not so interested in nightlife, rather liked visiting art galleries and historical sites, and wanted to come back to the hotel to relax. so this accommodation was a wrong choice. It’s old and dark, and the room was squashy. Saying this, the hotel staff did their best to accommodate our request. They brought a mini fridge for us to store some cold drinks (the outside was nearly 40 degrees 🥵) and brought a extra chair (the room only had one chair) and even brought a kettle when we said we’d like to have a cup of tea (the room only had a Nespresso machine with 2 capsules only even though our stay was 2 nights, and one regular size cup and one small espresso size cup). Anyway, the hotel did their best, but overall, it wasn’t worth paying AU$460 per night.
