The Imperial Chiang Mai Resort & Sports Club

This hotel has a great atmosphere, it's quiet and has a natural feel. There's a swimming pool available and the staff provide good service. The rooms are a bit old, but overall it's okay.

Honestly, I wanted to give this hotel a 1-star rating because there were so few staff members on duty. However, the staff's enthusiasm salvaged the experience. We arrived at the hotel a little after 11 PM and there was no front desk staff. Our calls went unanswered. Luckily, two security guards returning from duty saw us and, after failing to reach the front desk themselves, waited with us until past midnight. Seeing our two small children, they allowed us to go to our room to rest first. Otherwise, we would have left right then, considered our money lost, and given them one star.

We booked this for my sister, but she didn't end up staying. Not only was the place old, but it also wasn't clean. The exterior looked deserted, like no one lived there. Inside the room, it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned; there was dust everywhere. Everything was old, from the parking lot and dining area to the room itself. For 800 baht, I don't think it's worth it at all. The atmosphere at night was scary, so she didn't stay that night. If you're going to charge this price, it definitely needs improvement. Plus, the photos when booking looked really nice.

The room was spacious. The bed and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful, with no disturbances.
