Different experience, very basic accomodation, food was fine. We were in a group with multiple rooms all sharing a main outdoor meal area. No TVs or refrigerators in the rooms, no shoes allowed (left outside), rooms Basic but comfortable. Breakfast is preordered (really yummy) and the staff were good. Has wifi which worked well for us.

Magnificent lodge located in a green setting surrounded by pretty mountains and lush vegetation. A little paradise where calm is waiting for you. We had the lodge just for the two of us. The food offered is excellent, cooked by the villagers and using produce from the vegetable garden. The only downside is that the excursions offered are extremely expensive and given that there is no possibility of doing anything else, there is no choice but to take out your wallet.

We just checked out of the Lisu Lodge where we stayed for one night enroute to our resort in Chiang Mai. We are so glad that we made this small detour. The lodge is small, quaint and so peaceful. Everyone who works there is so gracious and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls are paper thin, but it is nothing that a quiet white noise on an app can’t overcome. The food was authentic and delicious. Highly recommend a bamboo raft ride and tea plantation tour. At night the villagers come and do a local dance, get up and join them. It’s a great way to end the day!

In this lodge, surrounded by a beautiful garden, you can breathe a bit of the air of last century Thailand. Now there is electricity, running water even hot, which makes the difference between the past and the present but, this aside, the structure of the rooms (in bamboo) and the food served at the table (there is no buffet nor a la carte menu), combined with the simplicity and informality of the ways (which does not mean rudeness but family welcome), gives the impression that time has stopped here. We were only there one night, after three and a half hours of trekking rafting time on a bamboo raft, and it was a nice stop.

I completely agree to work for the Lisu community living in the neighboring village... Knowing that the average price of a room is around €60, the price of €240 is no longer a social action but a purely financial racket.. ..and this deeply saddens me

Lisu Lodge consists of 5-6 traditional bamboo houses with 5-6 double rooms each. Breakfast & dinner us being served on a large terrace sitting at low tables. The whole area is in a small park next to rice fields + The lodge supports the local Lisu ethnic group and the village next to the lodge and thereby implements sustainable and eco standards + Authentic setting + Great to relax and to get away from modern distractions - Lisu lodge (managed by Asian Oasis) is a distination popular among some luxury travel agencies offering a „once in a life time experience“. The prices reflect this. We stayed 2 nights (half board for 11.000THB = 300€). Optional activities can be expensive and add another 100-200€. - Lack of transparency: When I give a financial donation to support an ethnic group anywhere in the world I expect a minimum level of feedback/reporting. In the case of Lisu Lodge I am paying a premium price which includes an unknown amount to support a local ethnic group. @ Asian Oasis: Be more transparent what percentage ultimately flows to the Lisu people and what projects have been financed (e.g. a photovoltaic power station next to the temple). Your clients will feel better when paying the premium price - We needed a transportation to the lodge for about 10km. The management offered a ride from Chiang Mai for about 60€. We organized it on our own for just 8€.

We stayed at Lisu Lodge for two nights and it was a great experience. Basic but clean and food all freshly prepared and served. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We visited the local village and had a day trip cycling and white water rafting. It’s truly peaceful and although it rained a lot it didn’t detract from the beautiful surroundings.

Lisu Lodge is a beautiful place. It’s a collection of immaculately constructed bamboo lodges set in picturesque grounds, in the stunning Thai hills. The rooms are surprisingly comfortable - you take your shoes off before going up the steps into the lodge, and the woven bamboo floor is lovely underfoot. There’s no air conditioning, but with a fan and the air circulation through and around the building, it wasn’t needed at all - we all slept very well. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need (a good en-suite for example). And it’s fun being in such a different environment! Plus it’s all so well-kept - really clean and well-maintained, from the buildings to the pretty gardens. We also had some fantastic food, including our best meal so far in Thailand. It’s well-judged with a range of options and heat-levels, so me and my husband (who love spicy food) and our 8 year old (less keen) were all happy. And it was a great experience eating on Thai floor cushions around a low table on our lodge verandah. For lunch and dinner we were served a range of options (for example dinner was chicken green curry, a mince stir fry, pork ribs, eggs in tamarind, a soup with meatballs, and rice, followed by fruit and banana in coconut milk from their own gardens). For breakfast you could choose American (eggs, bacon, toast), healthy (fruit, yogurt and an incredible toasted granola), or Thai. And it was all delicious! But the best thing about it was the care and attention of the staff. You could really feel the effort they made to make us feel welcome and comfortable, as well as in looking after the property. I’m so pleased we decided to come - it’s been one of the highlights of our holiday. And we really enjoyed our rafting trip on the local river while we were here - stunningly beautiful, with (small, not too scary) sections of white water interspersed with calmer sections drifting past friendly picnicking Thai families. All of Thailand has suffered with the lack of tourists due to Covid - I really hope Lisu Lodge gets the visitors it deserves very soon. We would definitely come back!Highly recommended.
