Ndhovu Safari Lodge

We were booked in the River Suite - paid a deposit and confirmed. When we got to the lodge, the owner said that the River Suite is occupied. I said it is not possible, as we made a reservation for that night, paid a deposit AND confirmed. The owner said he apparently send me an email and I did not respond, which was not the cast! I check my emails daily!! Even if I did not respond, why would I pay a deposit and not show up? CALL ME THEN TO ASK?? This was obviously just a cover-up!! So at the lodge he said they will pay back my deposit - now it has been weeks later, a few emails send, and still they are ignoring me? What kind of business is this? I would recommend anyone to make sure DAILY that your booking at this place is still in order. The worst is, is not like I booked this a few months earlier, I booked 3 weeks prior, thus there is no reason to think that I will not show up. SORRY - NOT RECOMMENDED

Our family of 6 (3 adults and 3 children) had the best experience possible! Our tent facing the water was clean and comfortable. It had all we needed, including a spacious bathroom with a hot water shower! The sunrise and sunset are absolutely beautiful! After an early morning exploring and looking for the animals, our kids enjoyed the pool and playing around! We had fun looking for the hypos and buffalos from the balcony over the water. We enjoyed the nighttime gatherings for dinner, exchanging experiences with other guests. Thank you. We hope to come again one day!

The room design is well thought out and there are the right and enough plugs, the bathrooms and the sleep quality were excellent. We would have loved if we could park our car directly next to our room. The dinner meals could improve a little bit. One starter was a slice of tomato with Gouda pieces....

We were booked for 4 nights and extended by 1 more night - excellent location, great views, service and excellent food . Staff is very friendly and the owner Ralf is so friendly , helpful and always there to help, give advise or just have a chat . Most perfect place in paradise :)

only few spots for campers and therefore quiet. We stayed on site 1 which was at riverside. Site 2 and 3 (and 4?) are in second row and miss the view. Well equipped with braai stand, own kitchen stand, shadow and power point as far as I remember. Ablution is ok (2 shower/2 WC for all sites). Pool and lodge area can be used. Very friendly staff and warm welcome. We enjoyed our stay much more than on one of the neighbouring camps where the campsites are squeezed in the bush and a bit dark and neglected (will not name it here). Very close to Mahango Core area. To Buffalo core area it is quite a drive but maybe joining their gamedrive is an option, where you will be shuttled in the park by boat!

The bungalow we stayed in was unfortunately very old and simple furnished. The lodge employs a very good Cook. The food was always very tasty. There is a relaxed a**oshere and the Team is very helpful.
