Hotel Nour Palace Resort & Thalasso Mahdia

So we landed at enfidha airport and had a private car to take us to Nour palace hotel which was 2 hours away. We arrived and were taken to our family room which was a good size and we had a view of the golf course and sea. The rooms were clean. Facilities great as they have indoor and outdoor pools with an inside jaccuzi. The stay was all inclusive and there was too much to eat. We cannot fault the receptions bar one muhammad who never even smiled at us. The rest were amazing. The food staff yaseen, hassan, Mokhtar, Omran and the rest were the BEST, always attentive and friendly. Thank you guys. Outside the restaurant there is a cleaning lady who keeps the toilets clean and she was always smiling and amazing. We used the hotel massage and spa 3 times...the relaxation massage was only £18 and so relaxing i had the thalasso spa facial which was amazing as well at £40 Hajia is an experienced facialist and her hands are so light and magical. The lady at reception did make a lot of booking mistakes but best to jusy walk in. The beach was lovely but they were renovating the entrance to the beach so disappointed we could not use the loungers. The hotel is huge and has lifts that work and good to get them steps in. It was always clean and neat. There is a bar near the main foyer which is open 24 hrs so we got our english tea and coffee fixes here and the staff are friendly. Overall a great location as all the cafe shops and restaurants like espadon and chichkhan are 5 mins away. We always ordered a taxi at reception and it was fixed rate 10 TD during day and 15 TD after 9pm which is a bargain We will visit again

I have visited Mahdia 3 times and this is my first time at Nous palace, but by fat it was the best experience I've had during my times in Tunisia. The hotel staff were friendly, attentive and couldn't do enought to help me. The facilities, activities and food were all 5* and the animation team were amazing. Being a solo traveller they made sure to make me feel welcome and there were lots of activities and shows to take part in so I was never bored. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come again.

We had a wonderful family holiday to Nour Palace over the Easter school holidays. The hotel facilities are great, the food is delicious and the animation team are simply fantastic. With a special mention to Mady, Shady. Boogie, Sam and Laura who invited us watch their dance rehearsals and got our girls involved in the evening dance entertainment. (Sorry if I have forgotten names as the whole team are all great and a credit to the hotel) We all had the best time and made great friends. The animation team are all so talented and work extremely hard to ensure guests have a wonderful experience. The staff around the hotel are all so friendly and accommodating. Mohammed at reception is super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The waiting staff are again wonderful as well as the cleaning team. Thank you to everyone at Nour Palace that made our holiday such fun and welcomed us with such fantastic hospitality. We are already planning a return trip in the summer when the weather will be warmer.

We fell in love with Nour Palace in 2010 on our honeymoon and this was our third visit, and we felt we needed to write this review as we were disappointed. Unfortunately the hotel fell short of both our previous experiences and what we would expect from a five-star hotel. While there are still some positives, the overall standard has clearly declined, with many of the small touches that make a luxury stay feeling noticeably absent. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, but they are very outdated and in need of refurbishment. Towels were threadbare and at times didn’t feel clean. There were no bathrobes or slippers provided, the minibar was empty, and there was no welcome fruit—details you would normally expect at this level. Housekeeping also felt quite minimal rather than thorough. The food was another disappointment. It was repetitive with limited choice, particularly at breakfast, which did not meet five-star expectations. However, desserts were a standout—clearly the work of a very talented pastry chef. Drinks were poor overall. There were no fresh juices, coffee came from machines and was overly sweet and low quality, and there was no decaf option available. There was limited entertainment on arrival as would be expected this time of year, but a team had just started as we were leaving. They were super friendly and full of energy —especially Shady and Yusuf. Facilities are mixed. The outdoor pool area is beautiful, but the indoor pool, while a good size, has limited opening hours. The gym is very disappointing, with restricted access and outdated or unusable equipment. On a positive note, the staff throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful, the location is excellent for visiting Mahdia, and the architecture of the hotel is truly beautiful. Overall, the hotel has great potential but clearly needs significant investment to bring it back up to a true five-star standard. Rooms are slowly being renovated, so hopefully it will return to its former glory in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay at Noor Place in Mehdia as a family with our three girls. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely, relaxing atmosphere that suited us perfectly. A special thank you to Molly, the Guest Relations Assistant, and the receptionist for their kindness and warm welcome — they made us feel truly at home and were so attentive to our family’s needs. It was a memorable stay for all of us, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

Very good hotel, but the beach facilities need improvement We are currently staying at Nour Palace and overall we are enjoying our holiday. The strongest points of the hotel are the excellent food, the variety of meals, and the friendly staff. However, there are a few issues that surprised us considering the hotel’s 5-star rating. The biggest disappointment was the beach loungers. They have a very hard plastic frame, and the structure can be felt through the tight mesh fabric. They become uncomfortable after a short time, and getting up from them is difficult because parts of the body sink between the frame sections, increasing the pressure from the hard structure. The access to the beach is another concern. The wooden walkway leading to the beach is quite steep and is often covered with sand, making it slippery and potentially unsafe. I cannot imagine it being comfortable for elderly guests, people with mobility difficulties, or wheelchair users. The room also lacked drawers or a small chest of drawers for storing personal belongings, which is inconvenient during a longer stay. Apart from these points, we are satisfied with our stay. The food, the sea, the pools, and the kindness of the staff are all major advantages. I believe that with improvements to the beach loungers and some room details, the hotel could provide a true 5-star experience. I would be happy to return in the future.
