Nice location. It is a good place to relax. The service staff are also very warm and courteous, but if you don't rent a car, it will be a roundabout way to get there. There are no large supermarkets, restaurants, etc. nearby, so you can only spend money in the hotel. Fortunately, the buffet is not bad, with different dishes every day. Breakfast is the most praiseworthy👍🏻

I'm not the type to leave reviews (wasted time), but it's just obligatory. Really the quality of the hotel is not worth a 5 star. Just a 4 and I'm only talking about the quality of the hotel. Old-fashioned room, room service cleaning that leaves nothing to be desired (finding clean towels on the bed, bathroom not being cleaned, cleaners shouting outside, etc...) And the responsible staff are just amazing. The first evening we eat in a snack bar (we can also order from the menu of the restaurant outside) and we have tapas at an exorbitant price (wine €14-16 for an ordinary glass, main course between €25-16). 50€ per tapas)... But it doesn't matter, we're in a 5 star hotel and in the Seychelles. Anyway, we eat and there's a chicken burger that's really well smoked on the barbecue... I eat but halfway through I stop and I say to myself it's really too smoked (I have the impression that the barbecue wasn't washed and that I.eat coal)... Anyway, we finish and go to bed. At 2 a.m. sick as a dog.... I vomited every 2 hours for 24 hours. So I'm drained and crappy for 48 hours. Our 5 days I was not able to have a full breakfast (having had food poisoning. It is difficult to feel hungry again). The most serious thing is still the reception and the hotel managers who told me this: we asked around us and customers and have not had any other case so we can't do anything. He tells me to be sure that I have to go to the hospital to do tests.... Basically I just spent 2 days in my room (they didn't clean it because I was occupying it), I asked the nurse for medicine and they made me understand that there was no commercial gesture (I don't know but the least thing / true or not true / should have been a reimbursement from the restaurant having intoxicated). In short, nothing to do. On the evening of the 3rd day I went to the snack bar and asked for a plain leg dish. (to eat again and repeat my transit). I was charged €20.... That's basically the mentality of the hotel..... So flee this hotel. I'm not talking to you about the lousy weather we had (wind and red flags during the 5 days), or the employees explained to us that we had to go out to see the sun and no/little wind (something we had done and validated). The location of the hotel is really not good. The north is probably much better. In short, Kempinski hotel, I won't go back: not commercial (so we avoid spending money at their spa, restaurant and activities), bad location on the island, exorbitant price (the Four Season right next door has the same price level food. The quality is surely superior considering the rooms which are at 2000€ minimum per night).... The only thing that saves them is that the employees (not the managers who take orders from management) are super nice and pleasant. In any case, to end our vacation (tour to Praslin and the dike before) we were very disappointed.

The hotel is really a very big hotel that deserves full 5 stars. Glad I chose Kempinski. The hotel room, service, sea, restaurants, cleanliness, location was very nice with everything. Staff are respectful and helpful. Thanks kempins that. I will come again for sure.

I am very disappointed about how this beautiful hotel is badly managed. It’s a beautiful gem in a paradise and they don’t treat guests right. I had to stress myself so much for basic things. I am on vacation , I am not paying a luxury resort to provide training to staff. Every day I had to call for cleaning otherwise still at 5pm room was not done. I left laundry on first day and despite even my calls (not really necessary as laundry was left in the laundry bag and box visibile at the entrance) laundry was not picked up for 3 days and was returned on day n. 7 also with a wrong charge. Concierge lady in red very lazy , always not at the position but chilling in back office , and not much friendly. Food at breakfast not good quality and I definitely don’t recommend the evening buffet, expensive and not good food. Felt like there was no service. I didn’t try the spa, gym was good enough for training during holiday.

It has one thing going for it. The grounds and a pretty beach. Not spectacular, not unique, but pretty enough. That's where it ends. On our arrival we waited a good 1/2 hour to be checked in. As there was no-one else checking in, I was a bit baffled. I had to go and ask what the hold up was a couple of times. Then I had to ask if they were at 100% occupancy as our Titanium status was not mentioned and an upgrade not offered (I hate doing this as it makes me sound "entitled"). It went from bad to worse from there. Our towels were only changed randomly, sometimes all of them, sometimes some. Coffee pods were replaced sporadically. Rooms were left unmade until late afternoon. There was no turndown service (just wished to have fresh towels). Room 317 next to our suite was used by staff to come and go and there was constant yelling and door slamming. Broken glass around the supply room (on the other side of room 315) has been on the walk way ground the WHOLE week we were there (where people walk around barefoot all the time). The food is mediocre at best and most definitely not 5*. I don't understand people raving about the food here. Our anniversary dinner, planned weeks in advance - in a very pretty setting I have to say - was ruined by the inedible food. To top it off they actually had the audacity to charge us over EUR500 for a 3 course meal consisting of a ceviche, a platter for two with dry, cold and overcooked fish and chewy, grisly, horribly overcooked steak that was NOT a fillet. Oh, lets not forget the ONE glass of wine between the two of us, which was so bad hat, as much as I like my wine, I could not finish it. Apparently EUR500 does not entitle a person to have a glass from a decent bottle, only from the "wine by the glass" selection. In hindsight, I should've been more callous and ordered a whole bottle then leave whatever I haven't drunk. I admit, following our photos and complaints, the executive chef apologized and we got a free fish and steak the next day (no wine though). Don't get me started on the drinks. The cocktails are priced at around EUR25+, as is a glass of wine. That's why most people were sipping water with dinner. Clearly the hotel does not understand it is better to sell 100 drinks at say EUR15 each, than 3 drinks at EUR25. If I can pay over EUR500 for a night's accommodation, I can afford a few cocktails BUT I refuse to be taken for a mug. Cocktails at the nearby Four Seasons (no comparison between the two hotels) were exactly the same price. Go figure.... For seven days, every single morning at breakfast, when the staff asked for our coffee order, I asked for an espresso with a bit of cream on the side. I reiterated I did not want milk, but would prefer cream. Every. Single. Morning. I got milk. Hot, cold, foamed up, but milk. After the third day I explained that I wanted cream, not whipped, not heated up, just plain liquid cream. Made no difference. THEN I was told that I got milk because some guests ar
