Weekend with my sons.
Great place to stay with my 2 sons as there are 2 bedrooms and kitchen and lots to do in the hotel. The walk to the restaurants and shops is literally 2 minutes which is fantastic. Parking was also very good.

Spacious and comfortable apartment - suites our family of four. Great location - easy walking distance to the beach and the light rail. We enjoyed the amenities and the indoor pool was well used by us on the rainy days.
Guests should be aware however that there is currently considerable high rise construction occurring next door and the noise from this was unrelenting and exhausting on the day we checked out - a Monday. Might be best suited to weekend visits during this construction period - or if you are staying midweek just have lots of activities planned so you aren’t stuck at home with the noise. We would stay here again, but will check for construction activity beforehand.

Taking into account that we had those massive storms on the Gold Coast and that it appeared to be in the middle of an improvement with new beds. I was extremely disappointed that the air conditioning units, to put it bluntly, were filthy! The two units, even though they were good brands ( Panasonic) when checking the filters, looked as though they had not been cleaned for over 6 months. The filters were CLOGGED with dust and dirt, which made them highly unhealthy for the occupants staying there. The filters had the potential to harbour various air pollutants such as dust particles, pollen, odour, and even bacteria. If you have people allergic to any of these particles, then it’s certain that they have the potential to be affected. For instance, people with asthma or certain allergies might start experiencing difficulties staying in the apartment. Also, some of the bacteria that might make their way into your apartment might cause diseases. When the air filter is dirty, it means that it can’t sieve out the dust, pollen, and other particles from the air. Consequently, the quality of your indoor air is reduced. This means that the air being blown through the vents contains various dust particles and microorganisms that might be harmful to people in the apartment. I know this as I have sold a/c units for over 40 years. I have now retired.

After reading some of the the reviews I was somewhat concerned. I had read a review mentioning a particular unit and how dreadful it was but I can’t find it again. Very strange! Anyway we arrived only to find we were in that very same unit!😬. We unlocked the door with trepidation only to be pleasantly surprised. The unit is spacious and had a lovely view overlooking the bay. It had everything we needed and it was wonderful to be able to do all our washing ( 4 weeks worth) before flying home to the UK. Just a short walk to the tram. We were here when they were setting up for the Gold Coast 500 but even that didn’t seem to make things busier. it’s a little dated and some of the furnishings are really worn out but that didn’t impact on our stay and also I wouldn’t furnish out a rented property in the very best decor because it will get damaged. All in all very good value for money and we loved the apartment living. We’ve always been hotel people but this experience has made us think again.

Great location, impeccable facilities and cleanliness. Great and well appointed family apartment with everything including great views. Will stay again. Check in and out after hours was a breeze and the Main Beach shopping and dining ***** was right outside. Can’t ask for much more than that for a last minute booking on the Gold Coast and over a weekend.
