Salcete Beach Resort

When we arrived (me and my older teenage daughter and son) we were so disappointed… the hotel seemed hold, not clean, very small, not 4*. The room was small, especially considering we needed one extra bed. We stayed 6 nights and all these bad experiences we’re compensated by the way we were treated. From the reception staff (unfortunately I didn’t keep his name), to the bellboy Summit, to the restaurant staff especially during breakfast and at the egg corner, people would go out of their way to make our stay a better one. They even changed us for a bigger room without extra payment, as soon as they had one available. Although I don’t think it’s a 4* property, we enjoyed our stay here and felt very welcomed. The beach is a 5 min walk and the Colva Beach Village (with shops and restaurants) a 10-15min walk. Plenty of taxis if you don’t feel like walking.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for one of your employees, who is known among guests as “Jimmy.” During our stay at the hotel, we had the opportunity to observe his work every day. We were genuinely impressed by his professionalism, dedication, and exceptional attitude toward both guests and the hotel itself. From early morning until late evening, Jimmy is constantly working to ensure that everything runs smoothly. He helps in many different areas — assisting guests, keeping the restaurant and café areas clean and organized, arranging beach chairs and towels, maintaining order on the beach, and always making sure visitors are comfortable. He appears to perform the responsibilities of several staff members at once. What stands out most is his honesty, responsibility, and sincere care for the hotel and its guests. He is always polite, respectful, attentive, and ready to help. His behavior creates a welcoming atmosphere and leaves a very positive impression on everyone staying at the resort. Seeing such dedication naturally raises the question of why such a capable and hardworking person is not in a managerial role. In our opinion, Jimmy demonstrates the qualities of leadership, reliability, and commitment that would make him an excellent candidate for a higher position, possibly even hotel management. We truly hope that his efforts and professionalism will be noticed and appreciated by the leadership of the resort. Salcete beach resort is an amazing place for stay. It's ambience and amenities are top notch. One of the best thing of this resort is the dining side that is the restaurant. They have great variety in dishes that is delicious. Also the staff and atmosphere is very nice. The time we visited the resort we came through some minor issues related to dining but the restaurant team handled it very professionally and politely. Avinash, Beer bahadur and their team are very humble and easy to approach. Highly recommendable. Very happy and satisfied with the services. Keep it up 👍

Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were so comfortable and clean, with great air conditioning. The pool, and restaurant were great to relax in. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Milosha at the front desk, and Marish who helped us with our bags.
