✨ Amazing Experience at The Somerset Hotel in Malé, Maldives! ✨ Just got back from Malé and I have to rave about my experience! From landing at the airport to the hotel, and even dining and getting around, everything was so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. 🥰 🚗 Transportation & Getting Around The hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Whether you're heading to the pier for a speedboat to another island, or exploring Malé city, it's incredibly convenient. During this trip, whether it was the expansive roads on the sea bridge or the narrow streets of the city, taking a taxi was always smooth. The drivers were really friendly too, so I didn't have to worry about transportation at all. It's super friendly for first-time visitors to Malé! 🏨 The Somerset Hotel Service & Details I felt so welcomed as soon as I arrived! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and prepared welcome gifts for us. Even the envelope had my name printed on it – talk about attention to detail! The room was clean and tidy, with full amenities. The lounge area was tastefully decorated, and the corner with dried flower arrangements had a wonderful ambiance. Coming back to the hotel at night to unwind after a long day was truly therapeutic. 🍴 Dining Experience The hotel's restaurant was another fantastic surprise! - The seafood platter was incredibly generous! Crab, squid, mussels, clams... all fresh and plump. Paired with refreshing lemon and herbs, every bite was bursting with the taste of the sea. The portion was huge, easily enough for two people! - And then there was the local-style fried rice. The grains of rice were perfectly separated, complemented by tender chicken and a soulful spicy sauce. It was so fragrant, I polished off the entire plate! The side dishes like fries and grilled vegetables were also very flavorful, even the dipping sauce was so good I wanted to take it home. 😂 💖 Overall Impression Whether it was the convenience of transportation, the hotel service, or the dining experience, I couldn't find a single fault! Every day here was so relaxing and comfortable. It's an excellent choice for a transit or stopover in Malé. Next time I come to the Maldives, I'm definitely staying here again!

My recommendation: Good location, spacious room, but still skip this for other options. +ve: Spacious room, Very friendly staff. -ve: breakfast buffet is biggest disappointment. They have same menu, all days, everyday 😞. Some of the bread tasted stale, though restaurant claimed it's brought fresh. Hasbrown very oily, and and very limited vegetarian option (veg dumplings, hash brown & beans, deep fried oil-dipped poori, fruits) . -ve: I had planned to have a meeting with my team members who were staying near by hotel, were not allowed to go to room. mentioned not able to bring guests. This should be communicated as part of booking. -ve: couldn't find any 4star amenities or facilities -ve: I had booked airport drop and almost waited for 30 min before front desk staff helped take a taxi from Avas app from the road. Very disappointed in coordinating the airport transfers, that was confirmed early in the day. Overall, it was a sub-standard experience for a 4star, highly-rated hotel.

The hotel's location is great, convenient for both local markets and souvenir shopping, and very close to the pier. The service was excellent; airport transfers were smooth. There were plenty of breakfast options. Overall, I was satisfied.

Huge thanks to the hotel staff for waiting for us to arrive, despite our flight delay. The service and dining were both outstanding. Everything was perfect, except for the slightly small bed.

Everything about this hotel was outstanding, absolutely flawless! You can really tell that the management and every single staff member put a lot of thought and effort into every detail. For instance, the breakfast restaurant even had a Chinese menu specifically prepared, and the made-to-order dishes were delicious! The room was clean and tidy. I'll definitely be back! I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to the Front Office Manager and the lady on night duty for helping me track down a travel adapter I left at my previous hotel. They went above and beyond to assist me. Plus, the hotel is super close to all the main attractions, so I highly recommend it to everyone!

This hotel is conveniently located near a museum, and the service is professional, warm, and polite! Compared to other options in Malé, this is a relatively good and legitimate tourist hotel. The restaurant next door is also decent; we didn't want to risk trying other places, so we just ate there once.

I can strongly recommend this beautiful hotel in the heart of Malé! Room was absolutely clean, bed is super comfortable and the bathroom had a great size. Reception is so warm, the give you a delicious welcoming tea and a perfectly cold towel. Breakfast was also really nice! Free airport shuttle was very well organised. Overall we had a wonderful experience, the staff is amazing and will choose the Somerset Hotel whenever we are back in Malé!

We stayed in a primer business suite… The food at the restaurant was v good The staff was very helpful The room was disappointing…. Windows looked into walks not outside, ( nothing like pictures advertised) pullout couch/ bed was very uncomfortable .

The place is well organized and clean. Location is a bit in the city, the  walk is not easy due to heavy traffic.  Room is comfortable. Windows in my room are weird, not having views.

Located in the old town, the overall environment truly doesn't measure up to hotels of the same price in my home country. However, the service makes up for it.

The location is fantastic, surrounded by museums, Independence Square, and the Presidential Palace, making it convenient to get anywhere. The restaurant serves delicious food that even a Chinese palate can appreciate. The airport transfer service was excellent and very convenient, with a comfortable car. The room itself is very spacious, much larger than similar hotels in Malé.

The hotel service was excellent. We communicated via email beforehand, and they replied instantly, arranging airport transfers and coordinating with our resort island hotel. They were incredibly friendly throughout. The room environment was good, pretty decent actually.

The room was a bit small and it's located in an alley, not directly on the main road. Everything else was great, and the service was excellent.
