"Since I arrived late in the evening, I only stayed for one night. The beach and ocean are right across the street, but my room didn't offer a sea view. At over 400 RMB a night, it really felt more like a basic Chinese guesthouse. It was reasonably clean, and the facilities were quite ordinary, which I could tolerate. However, after I came back from dinner, the power went out within five minutes. Since it was a walk-up building (no elevator), going downstairs to find staff was exhausting. They had just arrived when the power cut out again after only a few minutes. This cycle of power outages happened multiple times throughout the night. Eventually, we were left without power, it was sweltering hot, and I was constantly bitten by mosquitoes. I was already exhausted, and this was truly the last thing I needed. With no electricity, I couldn't even take any photos of the room. I absolutely do not recommend staying here. After getting home, I complained to the booking platform and demanded a 50% refund. They initially offered 100 RMB, which I didn't accept. Eventually, they agreed to refund 200 RMB, and that's how it was resolved. Honestly, this was the worst hotel experience of my life. Being hot and constantly bitten by mosquitoes in the middle of summer was just unbearable."

"The hotel is nice and clean, but they've only been online for a short time, so the information isn't entirely accurate. There's only one room in a double room, no kitchen, and the kitchen is only available in the higher-class rooms. But the young man at the reception said they'd fix it, and they offered me a cocktail as an apology. The guy at the reception is generally very friendly and answers all my questions and helps with everything. It was a pleasure."

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with drinks, helped with our luggage, and quickly checked in. The room was spotless, pleasantly cool, and had everything we needed — fresh towels, slippers, toiletries, tea, coffee, and water. After a 20-hour flight, it felt perfect. When we had an issue with the safe during check-out, the staff reacted immediately. Within an hour a technician arrived, opened the safe carefully, and the receptionist even helped us get to the taxi so we could reach the airport on time. We are truly grateful for their care and support. This hotel shows what real hospitality means!"

"It is a great hotel only if you are staying for a night to be closer to the airport. It is located in a local beach, so you cannot wear beach clothes (swimsuits are not allowed) No alcohol around. Not to have the Maldives experience 😅"

"The room service was very good, and the airport transfer with luggage assistance was excellent. The front desk staff spoke great English, so communication was never an issue. I'll definitely stay here again for my next layover. They even pre-cooled the room with the A/C before I arrived, which was a wonderful touch!"

"We had a pleasant experience at Samann Host, Hulhumalé. We arrived early around 8:30 AM and were informed that check-in starts at 10:00 AM as per their policy. However, the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to safely leave our luggage with them while we explored the area. The hotel is quite compact, but it offers excellent service and quality. The room was modern, clean, and well-designed—though small, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They also provided a complimentary airport pickup and drop-off, which was really convenient. Since we had to leave early in the morning for our flight, they even prepared a packed breakfast for us—such a thoughtful touch! The hotel is just a short walk to the beach road, making it a great location as well. Overall, a simple but very well-managed hotel with warm service. Would definitely recommend it for a short stay near the airport!"

"This hotel is on a small island near the city of Male. The map of this island shows Villingili, which is called Vilingmale by locals. It is the same place. The hotel is very clean and the front desk lady is very considerate. After leaving the airport, take a taxi for 6 US dollars to the pier of this island, and then buy a boat ticket for less than 1 US dollar. It takes 10-15 minutes to get to the island. After leaving the pier, walk 2 minutes to the hotel. It seems that you can also take a ferry from the airport to Male, and then take a ferry from Male to this island. But I haven't done this, I took a taxi. This island is very quiet, there are no cars parked on the roadside, but no one is driving. The movement on the island is basically electric vehicles, bicycles, and walking. There are all kinds of facilities on the island, and young people basically work in the city of Male. It is very suitable to find a quiet place and observe the life of people."

"Ocean Grand Hulhumalé gave us a truly comfortable and luxurious stay. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, and our room was spacious, clean, and stylish with all the basic amenities provided. They offered complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the airport or any location in Hulhumalé, which made our travel so convenient. The breakfast spread was excellent—with a good variety and great taste. Definitely one of the best quality breakfasts we had during our stay in the Maldives. The hotel has a lovely lobby and a rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. While the amenities could be improved a bit more, in terms of overall quality, this is without a doubt one of the best places to stay in Hulhumalé. Highly recommended!"
