The staff here endure awful work conditions, suffering bullying from the manager/director. Other guests who witnessed the same bullying behaviour expressed how shocked they were at how someone can treat their staff, who consequently live overtly in fear. It's a shame, as the location, infrastructure, and otherwise pleasant hospitality could add up to a great experience. Until La Malindina address their problems with this director it is not somewhere we would return to. A very awkward and poor experience for guests, and worse for the staff.

Facility has potential but the experience here is just horrible  Great PR online and when you call to make enquiries. Dont believe any of it. Its just to get you to buy-in.They seem to be riding on past glory when the facility had a different manager. You will be forced to pay full amount before check in .After that you are at their mercy. Very arrogant and racist manager of Italian decent- Aldo Nietta.Actively segregating blacks , worse when he has Italian guests. Here racism is real. Aldo the manager quite often quarrels with his staff in front of guests. Terrible terrible food and very limited and repetitive menu.Meats were tasteless and not fresh.Undercooked rice, ugali.Small portions.Food was crap.Heartburn and stomach upsets. Not baby/kids friendly- no baby pool or kids facilities.Getting baby food was a real struggle. Was asked to carry flour for baby porridge which was made with very  salty water, barely drinkable Brace for the MOSQUITO MENACE.Had to spend most times indoors. Poor wifi slightly better at restaurant area. Beware of last minute "unpaid bills" when checking out.on two occasions I witnessed guests being harassed when leaving. There is a receptionist who waits for guests as they are just about  to board their vehicle and ambushes them with "bills" . The receptionist will come running " excuse me you haven't cleared this and that bill".Because of the confusion, rush to exit or to avoid creating a scene, guests just complain and pay. We were alert having seen what the 2 other guests were subjected to.As usual, Irene the receptionist called us out when leaving, we interrogated our bills. Why pay extra for desert and food served during meal time when we were full board guests? (Daily rate of Kes 30,000 a couple, for 3 nights). Our last minute bill was interestingly scrapped. Dont request for taxi through the reception. The bill will be unreasonably high.

We stayed at this small, intimate hotel for 3 nights. The setting is idyllic with its beautiful gardens, nice size swimming pool and open air bar and dining area. Our cottage was comfortable with AC in the bedroom and two sinks in the bathroom. The menu was Italian and seafood based. The fish was prepared perfectly and beer, wine and sparkling drinks enhanced the menu. The staff were incredibly helpful. Special mention goes to Irene, Jen and Angela who managed the place with aplomb and helped organize excursions, shopping, transport and printing boarding passes. They enriched our stay and made us feel very welcome. They had great ideas for activities and problem solved as well. We look forward to staying there again.

Don’t stay here it is a total waste of money. We were told to pay on arrival. The rooms are out dated and needs lots of work. The air condition was leaking and our rooms was flooded. Bugs flying around the room all throughout the night. Very very old towels, took forever for the water to get hot and when we woke up the next morning the water was off. The Italian manager was yelling at staff very loud as if they were his slaves. The pictures on the internet are deceiving and nothing looks like it in real life. Nothing good about this hotel apart from the nice employees who were helpful and friendly. Not their fault but the management Ihas failed them big time.

The location is not as advertised and was not close to the beach. The pool was very small. Its in the middle of a forest area so not the best to come home too late at night. The staff is very polite and helpful.
