Ocean Beach Resort & Spa

I really enjoyed my stay. A simple but really well maintained hotel and beautiful grounds. Very clean all around. I loved the pools, the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly. Had a wonderful spa treatment (very unique spa !) . Only drawback was the beach which had beautiful sand dunes but not appropriate for laying out. Its a public beach , not very clean and the ocean not suitable for swimming. The hotel is close to great spots for dinner and other beaches you can enjoy. I also loved that the hotel rooms were more like cottages, and not many of them.

Super friendly resort. The staff are amazing, the room was like stepping back in time, luxurious but with a real feel. The food was excellent, the ambiance quiet and refined. Only slight criticism was the massage, booked for 60 mins, but only got 50 mins.

My stay here was amazing. I am a solo traveler and I chose this place cause it looked quiet and safe and it truly was. The resort is very clean, the staff takes care of everything and they work hard to make your stay as perfect as possible. My room was beautiful, spotless and very comfortable. It was spacious, well-mantained and cleaned carefully everyday. I live in Italy and for my fellow Italians I can say: no worries about the food, everything here is delicious! I would also like to thank Anne, a member of the staff that made my stay even better. She is incredibly kind and took great care of me, always making sure I had everything I needed. She was also wonderful company and pleasure to talk to. Thanks to her I felt less alone during my stay. A special shoutout to her professionalism and attention to guests. I would definitely come back and that's also on Anne!

The resort hotel is superb. My husband stayed here one night in June while visiting friends in Malindi. The property is very beautiful to walk around. The common areas are so nice. The bed rooms are very spacious and lovely. The pool areas and the beach are absolutely beautiful. The staff are incredible, always smiling and ready to assist. The food is amazing. A very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the Ocean Beach Resort was nothing short of a dream. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the resort’s unique tropical style, it truly feels like a serene oasis which preserves privacy and comfort. Luxury is understated yet beautifully refined, with spacious rooms, exceptionally comfortable beds dressed in elegant linens, and private balconies overlooking perfectly maintained gardens. Every corner of the resort reflects genuine care and attention, from the immaculate grounds to the crystal-clear swimming pools. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the exceptional service. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely cared for, from the warm welcome at reception to the thoughtful and attentive poolside staff. The service was friendly, professional, attentive to security, and always anticipating our needs. The dining experience was equally impressive, with outstanding quality and variety. It is difficult to mention individuals when everyone was so wonderful, but a special thank you to Maureen, Florence, and Robert. And a heartfelt mention to Roberto, Phil, and - above all - to Madame Lisa: charming, elegant, inspiring, and truly unforgettable. We honestly could have stayed forever and are already dreaming of our return to this gem in Malindi. A five-star experience in every sense, one we will cherish until we come back.

- rooms are spacious and clean 1.They offer limited food options, have no activities to engage the kids or adults in festive season. 2. The full board has many restrictions and fine print conditions. ( Meaning a lot of the items required additional payments) 3. The hotel is boring with no festive mood, good for those looking for silence. 5. Refreshments options are limited. 8. The beach had brown water, (no fault of the hotel) but disappointing to see as you can't go to the beach...

I remember visiting OBR about 10 years ago for the day, and I always wanted to come back and spend a few nights. I am so glad I chose them. The staff were super understanding of my last-minute booking—bless them. The staff were pleasant and friendly while still giving me my space when required. I appreciated that the owner came up to me after I had come from checking out the gym and spa, and informed the staff that it should be open and ready for me the following day. She is such a lovely lady, passionate about her hotel, and always walks up and down, making sure the grounds are looking stellar. Rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and clean. The bed and pillows were such a joy. Best sleep I'd had that week. Highly recommended and will be going back.
