This was my first time staying at Outbound. I came with 2 other friends. They just renovated and rebranded the resort. It’s adorable and clean. The staff are amazing. I met Eric and Chip, they are amazing people who went out of their way to make sure our stay was special. The whole staff were helpful and made my stay pleasant. I highly recommend and I will be coming back. Make sure you have some wine at the bar near the lobby.

The pictures on the website may raise your expectations because it looks very put together and thoughtful. The place is fine, but a lot of things are just a little bit shoddy. We found the hot tub not hot enough and the sauna not on (and took too long to heat up to be worthwhile) and the steam room just plain didn't work. The door was hanging off the sauna crooked (we at first thought it happened when we went in but that's just how it is). Nice big TV in the room but streaming issues (we managed but it was a consistent issue). Food availability not as advertised - not really a food truck available every morning. No fan in the bathroom. So, it was totally acceptable just clearly a place that has been thrown together to look great but that isn't great. It's just fine.

We had a tremendous stay! Love the remodeled Outbound Mammoth. The lobby with the large fireplace and bar is fantastic! We were upgraded to one of the private cabins with fire pit outside the door, and loved it! Everything was cozy and delightful.

Awesome Stay!
I love how it close to everything. You can go to grocery, restaurant in a minute or you can walk. And to drive to the mountain main lodge only takes 8-10 minutes! Judy the receptionist are awesome. We asked to upgrade our room cause a little bit small for us with a toddler. And Brett the Manager took care of us! Thank you so much! Definitely we will go back and stay the same Hotel.

Absolutely magical place, it has everything you need, you don’t need to leave! Super friendly staff, especially Leslie, and Debbie, you can tell their genuine passion for this place. From the fireplace in the bar area, with games, to the awesome bar sierra, food is great, and the ambiance. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Oh and the crepe truck on the premises is amazing, best crepes I’ve had. Super convenient location, walking distance from vons , and the mountain shuttle is so convenient .

First time in the snow for this Orange County girl. Came to Mammoth to celebrate my 39th birthday #Aprilfoolsbaby #040185 . I’ve been to mammoth a few times but never when it snowed so I was super excited to go. We booked our stay at The Outbound Hotel and decided to check out their dinning area. Just a few minutes in and our busboy came to our table and was really quick to make sure everything was good. After we dined we decided to stop at the little bar in the hotel and the busboy came to talk with us (he was such a kind man) come to find out he was bussing to help out, he actually is a wine connoisseur. One of the most humble people I’ve ever met. . Definitely an amazing experience. It’s good to be good to others, you never know whose path you will cross.

We stayed at the Outbound Hotel. We had the best " bustboy," and he ended up being a wine expert! His name is Chip. He definitely showed us a good time and taught us a lot about wine.
