If you want to feel like you’re in Nicaragua, this is the place to go. It offers the typical cultural experience, and I love to stay here for this reason. Pool area is very relaxed and enjoyable. Food in the restaurant is good and breakfast is excellent. Rooms are basic (and old fashioned) but had everything we needed. The toilets might need some work, they were so low they would be more suited in a children’s nursery school! Good for the glutes though! Reception staff need better training, they do not offer the level of customer service expected. I had to move rooms as there were lots mosquitoes in my room! They facilitated this with ease, but when I returned to the hotel for my last 2 days in Managua I was told that there are mosquitoes in every room! This was not the case, and I do not think this is the right message for your guests. It could have put me off! They also tried to overcharge me. In general, the reception staff could be more friendly as the face of the hotel!
