I hope the new ownership Brookfield will seriously consider putting some much needed money into this hotel - the grounds are a mess with old poorly maintained plant material and non defined beds - The floors are worn and there were boxes piled every where - I remember this hotels hay day and it just tired looking -

I visited during a business trip in mid April. I'm not a huge "traveler" so it was a treat for me to just "get away" even if it was for business. The staff I encountered were friendly, the room was nice and the bed/pillows were amazing. It's a beautiful property but a little challenging to navigate at first. I joked with the front desk when I was checking out if the $150.00 comp fee be applied toward the mattress and a pillow. The restaurant was closed the evening we arrived so we walked down the road to the Silver Fork. The food was good, breakfast and lunch were provided on the day I was attending. I do not know the name of the gentleman who helped me but he was from the front desk and it was his first day back after an extended leave. Upon arrival, I had worked all day and driven 1.5 hours so I was tired and got a little turned around. He gladly helped me find my way and get settled in.

Day prior to eclipse, waited 1.5 hrs to check in with only one person manning front desk. Restaurant minimally staffed and food choices limited due to the lack of planning. You would think they would have planned in advance for the amount of patrons with reservations. Shameful management performance.

The room was clean and comfortable with a fabulous view (mountain view two queen). The bar experience was interesting because while the service was fabulous, the young man behind the bar on March 16th was incredible, it wasn't stocked, it seemed like they were out of more things than they had. At one point there were several managers standing around while he was busting his butt to find things he didn't have. I felt bad every time he came back to tell us he was out of something else, it was clearly out of his control. The outdoor terrace was fun and nice to be outside on an unseasonably warm march day but we had to ask several times to light the fire pit and when someone tried, it smelled of propane for 15 minutes or so before someone figured it out and actually got them lit. Our spa treatments were fab although expensive. The hot tub was leaning toward warm rather than hot but it was okay. The steam room and the sauna were both out of commission which was disappointing. Normally, I would have given this three bubbles - I'm giving it 1 because I had originally booked this for April but they couldn't confirm spa treatments that far in advance and that was the whole purpose of our trip so I called back to move it to an earlier date. Just today I got an email confirming my upcoming reservation. When I called to say, we already stayed, this reservation shouldn't be active - someone not at the hotel kept me on hold for over 20 minutes only to tell me I missed the cxl window and I'll have to pay. Seriously? She said she would submit a customer service request for me and I can wait for 48 hours for an email after which she said she was looking forward to welcoming me to Equinox. Talk about disingenuous service. Additionally, when booking originally we booked a guaranteed connecting room for a small upgrade cost, but to do so you had to book both rooms at full rate and then they would "refund you later" - clunky at best. I feel the need to comb my credit card statement and find out how much they've charged me so far.

So disappointed with the experience at this hotel! The line to check in was very long and there was only one person working at the desk. Tried to check in twice and was told our room wasn’t ready both times. The lady at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. She said she would take our phone number and call when the room was ready. 3 hours later we still hadn’t heard back so we ended up canceling our reservation.

I’m currently waiting to check in and it’s been over an hour in line. One person at the front desk and still almost 30 people in line. Stay away at all costs. They don’t care about you at all. This used to be a nice place but there are newer and better places in town

Recently enjoyed a three night stay at the Equinox. The resort has an old world charm in a uniquely beautiful part of VT. The rooms are clean and, unlike cookie-cutter modern hotels, they are generally larger and unique. The beds are quite comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor pool, spa and fitness spaces and as spring and summer arrive, golf, tennis and other outdoor pursuits will replace winter skiing. Hiking trails are nearby as well. Great value as an adjoining 2 queen room offered at best available rate of king plus the resort fee for both rooms. Shopping is abundant at the local outlets. Some great restaurants in Town, including the Silver Fork 2 blocks away. As the area has seasonal features be aware the shoulder seasons can have varied hours of operation.

We had a wonderful stay recently at the Equinox Golf Resort and Spa! First of all, we would all like to thank Jill for helping to coordinate our group. She was always quick to respond to my emails and calls. We came with our small team of freestyle skiers for a competition at Stratton Mountain. Everyone was comfortable and happy in their well appointed rooms. The athletes loved the pool, game room, and smores nights. The adults enjoyed the cozy common spaces near the fireplaces in the evenings and the music on Sat. night at the pub. The location was convenient for going into town for team dinners. We are looking forward to coming back next season!

Wonderful history but past it’s prime. Five star pricing without delivery. We stayed for three nights and only had housekeeping when we asked for it. On the second night housekeeping told us they were cleaning rooms where people had checked out. They had 35 rooms occupied and focused on cleaning the 165 rooms that were going to be empty. Sunday morning they wanted $25 for 2 cappuccinos! A resort charge is fine if there are some sort of facilities but not here. We love Manchester but will stay somewhere else.
