Weathervane Motel

We only needed a 1 night stay and this motel was the right price and available. There are no extras like breakfast or a lobby. The room itself was clean and comfortable but the bathtub was badly stained and the water pressure was weak. You could tell that this was a great hotel about 20 years ago, but is past it's prime.

The property was very accommodating to my late arrival. Area is quiet and the location is about 25 minutes from Stratton. The beds are comfy and the room was clean. My only issues are that the tv didn’t work and the tub wasn’t the cleanest.

There was no hot water to take a shower or even wash up. I would never stay here again.

It is a shame I must write such a bad review for such a great hotel, BUT, while the experience could have been the best ever... Do not stay in room 111 ever. The hotel has some sort of water cistern which must be refilled every third night at 3 AM for an hour and the pipe goes thru that rooms ceiling. Absolutely impossible to sleep through! I thought a guest upstairs was running their hot tub. When I called the front desk and spoke with the General Manager he was loud, rude and informed me to live with it as there was nothing he could do about it and not to bother him again. In the morning I went to the front desk to complain to him in person but he was gone. The nice lady employee at the desk said she would pass on my concerns to management to attempt to reschedule the time of the flow.This was Tuesday morning. The next morning I spoke with the Desk Manager lady who first told me that they had gone to great trouble to change the flow time to 1:30 am and then proceeded to argue with me and informed me to basically learn to live with it as there was nothing more they would do for me,that they were booked solid and could not offer me another room and that I should deal with it. I dealt with it by checking out 3 days early and going to the new Holiday Inn down the road. The regular employees were as nice and as helpful as they could be, the room amenities, the Montague community, the views, the ducks geese and swans as well as the food were all excellent but the management was the worst I could possibly imagine. They were rude and insulting and I never expected to be treated that way by anyone from Michigan. Shameful attitude, manager had an excuse for every complaint. No problem was their fault. We and no one we know will ever be back there.

Water too cold I couldn't take a shower. Otherwise all good. Thanks.

Smells like mildew as soon as entered. Sink drain barely drained. Looks like 1950's. There is a handful of bugs in the overhead bathroom light. Would never come back.

This is a charming, typically New England roadside motel for when you just want a a hot shower and a bed to crash. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, the people were friendly. What more can you ask for after a long day on the mountain? Would happily stay again

Aside from the filthy condotions evident, the TV would not function at all. It was so bad that we booked another hotel for the night and dropped our key within 2hrs of check-in.
