Mesa Verde Motel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this motel. It has been updated in such a fun way. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. They have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. We had delicious breakfast sandwiches at their very cute coffee bar. It is so nice to see an older motel refurbished with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

We have visited Mesa Verde Motel a few times, and will continue to visit. It’s a great restoration of an older motel. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and uniquely designed. The coffee shop/bar is a gem. Don’t pass up their breakfast sandwiches! The staff is wonderful, everything about this place makes me smile.

My wife and I stayed on a recent Saturday night - had heard so many good things about this motel and wanted a comfy, clean, convenient place to stay in between days of hiking. Got everything we wanted and then some! Super friendly and helpful staff, rooms and grounds are super clean and tidy, everything nicely done out with the guest in mind. Great coffee and brekkie sangers from the M Lounge. Combine this with a fine dinner at the Boathouse on Grand and Mancos is now a destination that outshines Durango!

Stayed here for its close proximity to Mesa Verde. Town is small so motel was walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Theme is funky and cute. Love all the unique touches in the rooms and the great cocktail bar onsite! Beds and pillows aren’t the most comfy but the rooms are clean and staff is great!

Stayed with my wife Sue two nights for the 5th annual Mancos BurroFest. The Mesa Verde Motel was a wonderful experience. Clean and comfortable, the recent renovation was extremely well done and really complements the whole vibe of the community. The M Bar & Coffee (onsite) has wonderful cocktails that are pricey but well worth it. I had a decent latte at the coffee bar but a local nearby shop Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters is also an excellent choice. The best part of the stay was conversation with two of the owners Sally and Matt. Sally had a vision for the Motel and has succeeded in realizing that vision. Matt who did much of the work on the motel did an excellent job on the renovations and they are both just genuinely nice people and even uplifting to talk to! (a rare experience)

This is the cutest little motel. We stayed in #13 and the room was quirky and fun. Very comfortable king bed and the space alien theme was so much fun! Wonderful little coffee shop on the premises serving breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. A delightful experience!

Funky, refreshed Motel, close to the Mesa Verde National Park entrance. Clean and run well, with comfortable beds and cosy room arrangements. Great breakfast, cafe, bar and a bit of retro highway motel. Fun and great stay with boathouse restaurant around the corner.

Lovely renovated motel with pretty and modern artwork and thoughtful details. The bed was comfortable and the room heated up quickly (we were visiting in winter) and the shower pressure was good. Also highly recommend the cocktails and the coffee at their Red Wolf cafe/bar.

Congratulations, this is how you create a hidden gem in the “lower segment”. Clean, updated, personal, fun. It’s just as simple as that. Close enough to Durango to take the narrow gauge railroad in the morning, close to Mesa Verde or just simply as a stopover. One small note, as with other motels in this segment, the walls are not very well insulating. The first evening we overheard the neighbor and his girl seemingly watching an exiting movie, as she was moaning on several scary scenes 😅 But, earplugs are provided by default and both night it was quiet after 10pm.
