Malwa Retreat Mandu

We had lunch over here. The restaurant is really awesome. The quality of food is remarkably good. The location is very peaceful. We didn't stay over here so can't give review for the rooms. The places of interest are nearby to this resort. Regards Anirban Pal Advocate High Court at Calcutta

Below any hotel standards. Upon our arrival there was no one at the reception, our guide finally ***aged to find someone and we were taken to a room, garden level, which had mold on the wall, dirty linens, a dire bathroom, blind or dirty mirrors etc. we refused it and were taken to another room, which proofed to be occupied when the receptionist entered. Yet another room was shown to us, upper level, same scenario, not proper, dire state that is and again an outdated and dire bathroom. No choice we had to take it as unfortunately there is no option of a decent hotel in ***du and it was later in the evening. Re breakfast, it was a careless absolutely not appetizing affair in every respect.

The location is good, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The food was decent fare (noit spicy or oily), but there was not much variety. Dal-Roti-Sabzi is all that you can get for Lunch/Dinner, and Breakfast was essentially Poha+Sandwich. My major problem was that the rooms (which were clean) were in disrepair. The paint was peeling, the doors and windows were jammed in the monsoon, and the cupboards would not close. Overall, I feel that the place needs an upgrade, perhaps with a different owner because MPT seems to be focusing on the Malwa Resort down the road.

We two families stayed here on Nov 20th,2021 during our ***du trip. Initially we tried to book Malwa resort but got rooms in Malwa retreat . No disappoin**ent after staying here. A small oldest property of 8 rooms on 2 floors. Property has only 2 AC rooms which we got. Smooth check in. Rooms were small but well maintained . Bathrooms needs total renovation. Lawn well maintained. Large parking. They had a hall on front which has reception ,open kitchen,dining section. Staff is less but cheerful active courteous. As per small hotel breakfast dinner has less varities but tasty. Rooms don't have tea coffee maker but they provided us . Mr Dubey is very cooperative, Overall a nice stay,enjoyed,

Good property OK food Good sfaff Good location Clean rooms Back side valley view is quite refreshing in the mornings, Must visit Light music show at Hindola mahel which is nearby. Staff goes out of the way to help. Simple n good hearted people around❤️
