Atmaveda Riverside Homestay

Had a lovely time at Atmaveda resort. It’s a lovely resort right next to the Cauvery river. Easy access to the river makes it really enjoyable and convenient to spend time in the water. The food is great too and service is excellent. The pool isn’t great but who needs a pool when you have a natural river bubbling around. Rooms are basic but clean and maintained well. No TV in the rooms so kids got a bit bored after sunset since there isn’t much to do after dark. Overall a great option for a 1-2 night stay. Easily accessible and very close to both Bangalore and Mysore.

Pros: 1. Booking was seamless and the staff were super-friendly. 2. Located besides river Cauvery. Cons: 1. The deluxe room doors were dingy/scratched - showed signs of wear and tear. The resort common areas (seating etc.) were untidy as well. Maintenance can be definitely improved a lot. 2. Sports room was not up-to-the-mark - TT table was scratched and dingy. 3. Meals choices (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) was pretty less and looks like they are short on staff. There is a delay of at-least 15-20 minutes before things were ready. 4. No intercom/TV in rooms. Overall, 'one day' trip worth if you can make peace with the Cons. Definitely lot of scope in the upkeep of the resort.

Please do not go by the pictures and choose this property. For the price they charge, they don't provide the basic facilities! My cousins and I visited this property on May 10th, 2024. We were 9 of us and they charged us 4800 per person. They gave us only 3 rooms, 3 in 1 room. That means we were paying 14,400 per room. Each room had 1 queen bed and an extra bed which exactly looked like a hospital bed. The doors are sliding glass doors and we had a hard time to close a door, 2 people were needed to close the door and we tried to lock the door and it was a broken lock system. We had hard time keeping our things safe in the room. We couldn't close the bathroom and use it!!! AC's made lot of noise or didnt work!! it rained and the water drained inside our rooms. the room was mess after the rain. And the food, what do you expect from 14k per room resort, a decent buffet! There was no one to serve or help us to open the food cover/ plate for us to serve ourselves. Everyone were struggling to hold the plate and also serve. They had very limited menu, roti was rubbery, idli, chutney or sambar had no salt/ so bland, jam had ants, daal, rasam was repeated for both the meals. Only thing we enjoyed was the river next to the resort, i am giving a star only for that. I definitely not recommend this resort to anyone.

Great location right on the banks of the river Kaveri. But very poorly maintained property with poor food quality. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cottage is big and clean inside, but no proper lock and key to the door, poorly maintained landscaping and snooker table, below par food quality, no name board outside to know where the property is. Not worth the price.

Recently we had a chance to stay at this property - an overnight one. There are about 10 cottages. The location is beautiful and gives a natural get up to the stay with sound of water and birds creating an apt atmosphere. Charges are very high - similar to a five star hotel but the facilities are not commensurate with respect to that. There is no stay facilities for drivers even in their own car. The outdoor has not been maintained well and the rooms themselves need lot of maintenance. The doors do not lock up properly, the toiletery provided is of low grade.
