Manila Lotus Hotel

Absolutely terrible, a nightmare stay. I would not recommend this hotel. I've traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels, but this was the rudest and most unpleasant experience I've ever had. I booked this hotel because the pictures looked great, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. I stayed for six days, and on the first morning at breakfast, the hot food buffet was completely empty. The next morning at 9 AM, I went for breakfast, and again, there was nothing. I complained to a staff member, who said they had informed the manager. The manager then said they wouldn't put out food anymore because it was too wasteful for the 6 AM to 10 AM window. At 9 AM, there was still no food, and they were unwilling to put any out. The staff's attitude was very rude. This was just my first day, and the internet was already terrible. I called the front desk multiple times, but they offered no help. On the fourth day of my stay, at 3 AM, I called the front desk again for help because the Wi-Fi connection had dropped. I requested someone come to my room to fix the issue. The front desk said no one would come because no one was willing to help. Days passed, and still, no one genuinely helped. At one point, I called room service 30 minutes in advance to deliver water. An hour later, after I was already at the gym, I called the front desk again to have water sent. Adding to the disappointment, their gym was extremely dirty. While I was working out in the gym, a room service person came in and asked if I was done working out. It felt like they just didn't want to leave the gym, and their attitude was incredibly rude. They were still using the gym and immediately asked if I was finished. Moreover, my room was clearly not thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping. The staff at Lotus Hotel Manila are extremely rude and impolite. If you are a business traveler, it's best to choose a different hotel, not this one. However, the restaurant staff were friendly.
