The hotel's location is fairly convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the subway station, and there are convenience stores nearby, generally meeting daily travel and shopping needs. However, the room facilities are a bit old, the air conditioning isn't very effective, and the noise is quite noticeable, affecting nighttime rest. The overall cleanliness is acceptable, but there were some minor stains in the bathroom corners that weren't cleaned. The service attitude was average; it took nearly half an hour to get an extra pillow when requested. Overall, it meets the basic standard for this price point, but there's room for improvement in the details.

We book a room based on the room as described posted photos in their site but then when we arrive, they gave us a different one. 'Yung reason nila is same lang naman at ang presyo same rin. tsk. marami ding molds sa ceiling ng bath at cr.

I just loved everything in BRIGHTSWOOD HOTEL! The ambiance of the room, the accommodation and the very welcoming and friendly staff! yet very affordable!
One negative thing: the beddings are new but it needed to throughly check as andami pong bakbak na dumidikit sa damit as it was new. Need lang po sigurong labhan para makuha yung mga naiiwan na bakbak kasi nga bago. Aside from that EVERYTHING in Brightswood Hotel is superb! Way to go!

The booking was fast, checking in on the first room which was in the 31st floor that we booked was slow we arrive around 2pm but we’re able to check in past 3pm. The first room we have was ok but the only complaint we have is that there are many cockroaches crawling in the wall, floor, kitchen and even in the bed. We have a bunk bed and under the mattress when I lay down I can see cockroaches crawling. I have to put cotton balls in my ear as I’m scared it will crawl inside my ear. The second room we check in on the 16th floor, we have no complaint at all it is clean and very comfortable. Staff was helpful.

Location - few walks away from DLSU, St. Scholastica and Benilde. Also few walk away from LRT stations and Bus Stations so quite accessible. If your are foreign tourists, expect some noise and dirty manila surroundings when you go out of the hotel facility.
Service - Staff and crew are very pleasant starting with the security guards and attendants upon the entering the hotel facility. The check in procedures are smooth and the receptionist during that time is very accommodating and nice.
Facilities - The building is kinda ”old” and it is very evident with the elevators and the lobby. Upon entering the room, I noticed it was very clean and the CR is very clean and dry as well. However, you can really notice that everything is old although it can add ”charm” to the ambiance of the hotel because well, it can be like that. Other that that, everything is nice, the beds are big and the pillows and comforters were, well, seems clean naman. All rooms have their own balcony however, for security purposes, doors are locked but you have a good view pa din naman, which is sa room ko, the Manila skyline and the pool. I think the worst part lang is the smell of the room. Not stinky naman or whatever but I am not sure if because the building is old or whatever but there's really a weird smell na hindi nakaka ”clean” smell, not sure if coming from the old aircon or whatever. Yun lang ata ang downfall, the old vibe of the room is okay but the smell, hhmmm, not sure.
There's a pool area as well and a jacuzzi, which I was able to try and it's really nice.
Food - My stay came with a breakfast buffet. The restaurant is sooo nice, again, the old vibes kinda add with the ambiance. The staff are well trained as well so they're accommodating and pleasant. As for the food selection, I guess it's the normal food selection for a hotel. There's the usual morning breakfast, pastries, juices and all. With the price you paid, I think it's okay.
In general, my stay was nice and I can really say that the biggest assets of hotels like CPH are their staff and crews because how they treat and accommodate their guests will have a great impact with the stay.

I had a good stay at this hotel, where the staff provided outstanding service from check-in to check-out, always friendly and attentive to every detail. The rooms and common areas were in satisfactory condition, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to good housekeeping and comfort, which made the experience even more relaxing. Its prime location was another highlight, conveniently close to popular attractions, dining spots, and transportation, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a good combination of great service, impeccable cleanliness, and a convenient location—I highly recommend this hotel for both leisure and business travelers.

The staff were kind enough to let me leave my bags at the hotel even though the check-in time is still at 2PM because I explained that I had an event starting at 8AM. I have no negative comments but I was weirded out by my room having a door that connects to the room next door. It can be locked from the inside so that's a relief but I still had it blocked overnight using a chair just in case. Overall, it was a decent stay. Thank you for taking care of me, Orchid Garden Suites!

Writing a review for a hotel can be super helpful for others who are planning their stay. Here's a quick rundown on how to do it:
1. *Be specific*: Mention the room type, amenities, and services you used.
2. *Share your experience*: Talk about the good and the bad. Be honest about cleanliness, staff friendliness, and overall comfort.
3. *Highlight the best parts*: Did the breakfast buffet rock? Mention it! Was the Wi-Fi super fast? Give 'em props!
4. *Provide constructive feedback*: If something went wrong, suggest how they could improve.
5. *Include photos or videos*: Visuals can give potential guests a better idea of what to expect.
6. *Keep it concise*: Aim for a few paragraphs at most. You want to make your point without overwhelming readers.
Example:
”We stayed at the Hotel Sogo Malate for a night, and it was so good. The room was comfy and clean, the staff was super friendly. I love the food at the restaurant we ordered pinakbet, bulalo and halo-halo so delicious. However, the network signal was sketchy but there’s wifi naman. Overall, I'd recommend it for its location and decent prices.
How's that? Want more tips?

Great
GGuest UserWhen I arrived at the reception in Hotel Ava, I thought I need to show my booking confirmation. But the receptionist asked for my ID. I have a lot of baggage so it will be hard for me to find my ID. So I asked if I can show the picture of my ID. I understand that they don't allowed me.
But the thing that I don't like is one of the receptionist on Oct. 31, 2024 around 10pm.. Said ”Walang booking booking dito”. I get irritated because they are not professional. Those ******** receptionists treat me as a scammer even I'm not. Luckily I find my ID after the rude comment from that guy. They are not friendly and not smiling to their guests. Not accomodating and ”mayabang”.
But the staff who are assigned to give a pitcher of water are kind. I really appreciate their service.

CcanvvBasic amenties - towels, toothbrush, and paste.
I liked the liquid soap provided - did not dry my skin.
Some rust on the soap and shampoo container as it was steel/metal bottle.
Room was clean enough. Linens fresh and crisp.
The room size was decent. The AC was a little loud.
Robinsons mall is nearby. Alot of food options around the hotel.

AAnonymous UserWe always love SOGO's rooms and amenities. Always ginagawang biro ang SOGO but we can't deny the fact na talagang goods yung service and accommodation nila. Even the food actually, given na mahal lang but we're paying for the experience kasi talaga that's why. Always included ang SOGO talaga sa options when it comes to hotel check-in, friendly pa ng mga naga-assist.

AAnonymous UserThe room given to me was nice. And kudos to the staff - when water entered the room because of the recent storm, I was immediately moved to another room.
Maybe fix the leaking windows next time. But overall (if there's no storm or typhoon), I'd probably stay there again if given the chance.

BBubuthThe location of Las Palmas is very good. Easy access for transportation and Robinsons Mall is just 5 mins walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the room. We were in Room 518. When my son used the toilet, terrible things happened when water leakage comes out from nowhere and the toilet floor got flooded. We were transferred to another room (519) when I entered the toilet, a big cockroach approached me. The aircon was set at 17 degrees but the room temperature was hot. When I opened the wardrobe, there is a small fan which I believed is meant to be used because of the aircon problem. The breakfast is just okay but there is a Mcdonalds nearby so we opted to eat our breakfast on the 2nd day.

GGuest UserThe location is near to the main roads of Manila so travelling to different location is easy. The room is clean, airconditioning is quite good, it is small and noisy, the tv is so small but its ok no one dares to watch on it during vacation. There is no service telephone in the room. You can use one but it is in outside of the room

BBestAshleyLarge room (Superior King) which was clean unless you go looking under the fridge or bed. A very comfortable mattress and excellent bedding was provided. The shower was warm to hot and powerful. There was no view from the window which didn't bother us for the price.
The tv had poor reception but we watched Netflix on our laptop using the hotel wifi.
The pool was excellent although of expected moderate size for a roof pool. Loungers and seating was provided.
