Comfort Inn

After arriving at Sawyer airport, we chose to spend the night in Manistique to start our road trip of the Upper Peninsula. Love the location As the hotel is across the street from the boardwalk and has a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The hotel staff were very personable. The rooms were clean and the linens were nice. They supplied fresh, hot popcorn in the evening, coffee and tea were available in the lobby 24 hours and the nice breakfast bar was kept stocked with the hot food hot and the cold food cold.

Came here for one night on a Sunday night. The person who checked us in was great and explained everything to us, including the complimentary popcorn and lemon water, which we did take advantage of and enjoyed. Our room was a lake view room with the Manistique lighthouse in view and it was a fabulous view. The water pressure in the bathroom was perfect and the lighting in the bathroom was very good compared with other hotels. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast as we slept in and were not ready before 9. However, there is a Big Boy next door and we had breakfast there. We also went to The Grind Coffee House for breakfast drinks and they were fabulous. I would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

The room smelled a bit musty and overall is in need of updating. Other than that I was satisfied with my stay. Great location across from the beach and boardwalk with a BigBoy restaurant next door (which I didn't try)

The hotel was very clean, updated and well maintained. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Would definitely stay again!

We were able to check in early which was much appreciated. The front desk staff was friendly and let us know all about the hotel amenities . There was lemon water and popcorn in the lobby. Breakfast was very good. The room was clean and the beds/pillows were super comfy. I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly welcoming staff at check-in as all others reviewers have remarked. Room was very clean, bed and bedding superb. Eastern UP drive-in burger chain Clyde's is close and WORTH a visit! Should you be traveling in an EV they are happy to let you plug in to a 110v lamp post outlet.

So happy I picked this one-night stop on our road trip around the UP on route 2. Our corner room was large. Very clean. Nice bathroom amenities. Breakfast scrambled eggs and sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, and many pastries to choose from. Our room overlooked Lake Michigan. If needed laundry facilities, computer, printer. Really nice hotel and staff.

This place had really great customer service. We canceled right before the big storm before Christmas. They worked with us to reschedule our stay after the storm! The hotel seems to have been updated recently. Our whirlpool suite room was huge! The beds were comfy and clean! There were little things here and there that were nice too like fruit flavored water available, popcorn, coffee, and cocoa in the front lobby! But one tip….the room was musty smelling and like maybe a long time ago a “smoking” room. Quite strong at first then didn’t seem noticeable. I wonder if an air purifier would help?

In a terrible snow storm and you couldn't even tell you were on a major highway 75, so called to cancel room, as I would not be able to make it and Deb said we didn't get any snow and our GM said to charge you. Well their sister property I was able to make it to at the bridge said they should take care of that charge as you stayed with us and there are so many accidents due to the weather. Well I guess I will not stay at this hotel ever again. Very disappointing!
