It’s noisy even after midnight. If you need a good night’s sleep, this wouldn’t be the best choice.

Stokes was lovely. The vibe was chill, location is right by the beach and the place was kept clean. The rooms were quite hot and the wifi upstairs didn’t work, but other than that no complaints! Would recommend. The lobby area is really pretty too so nice area to chill or work in.

• room: clean bedsheets and dirty floor. Compact double room with comfortable bed. My room was facing a road intersection and was quite noisy in the morning and could hear people talking on the streets in the evening even though the window were closed.
• Shared bathroom: mostly dirty and not pleasant, not sure if the amount of bathroom per guests is too low or cleaning is too few times a day.
• amenities: there are common areas to chill which are nice and comfortable there is a free pool table and organised events almost every day of the week
• location: 10min walk from the beach, 10 min from main pedestrian street and supermarket, there is a gym in front of the hostel which charge 20aud for a single entry.
my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

Rooms have curtains and kitchen and social areas are well equipped. Walking distance from the beach and shops. Highly recommend staying here while you explore Manly!

Location is in proximity to Manly Wharf and Manly Beach, easy to walk around, front desk is helpful and friendly, breakfast provided with good variety options.

This is an almost perfect hostel, for sure one of the best I've ever been! Great staff, really good breakfast included, billard pool and couches plus the various activities (as well as possible bike, Beachvolleyball etc rental for free!) make it easy to connect quickly. Also, the beds are very comfortable amf the curtain provides some privacy too.
Only point for improvement: an air condition in the room would be great. But the Ventilator worked fairly well too.

This is my first time traveling alone, so I booked a youth hostel to experience the food, accommodation and transportation of young people, and also to relive the memories of college dormitory life. I booked a triple room, which was clean and quiet. The whole hotel environment was good, and the front desk staff was also enthusiastic. Breakfast was a highlight, with many varieties. In addition to the usual bread 🍞, there were also croissants, cakes and yogurt that I loved, bacon, cheese and fresh flat fruit, oranges 🍎🍎. The transportation was convenient, there was a bus stop at the door, but Manly Wharf was only one stop away, not far away, and the beach was also close, just a few minutes walk away. I will come again next time and will introduce my relatives and friends to come.
