I selected cedarwood resort after considering many options in the area but to my surprise when we reached there the staff was not at all welcoming no one was there to ask for basic room services. We went to the reception for many times but they didn't took a notice. Sorry but their room service was pathetic. I will not recommend anyone to go there. Till the day end they didn't offer us drinking water. Food was hopeless. Whoever is visiting there kindly prefer to eat from outside.

Road to lodge under remake and very rocky and muddy. Beautiful drive through Himalayan pine forest. Sadly, workers on the road tossed their plastic bottles, paper and garbage along the roads and over the embankments into the forest, spoiling the natural beauty. Beautiful setting at arrival but lots of garbage. Surrounding mountains and wildflowers make it beautiful. Everything seems to be unfinished regarding construction. No heat (small propane tank with small infrared heater attachment for the tank) for the one large room which ran out, then my room became very cold. My toes did not warm up over night because not enough blankets. No hot water for shower (wood fired boiler heats water). Expect electric power to occasionally go out. Signs warn to not waste water but faucets and toilets leak and waste water. Signs warn to not pick flowers or get a big fine, yet where the wildflowers grow there is garbage and crap everywhere spoiling the natural environment. Food was ok. Overall expensive for what we received. Probably won't return.

This property has a beautiful location. The lawn is heavenly but the rooms need immediate renovation. It was raining and the roof started leaking, the beds got wet and there was no one at the reception who can attend to you. The washrooms are in dire need of renovation as well.

The rooms were in good condition with good quality fittings. Hot water was available from 7-11 am and pm. The grounds were well maintained. The road to the hotel is a rocky track and there are jeeps which can take you there, we were able to drive our SUV and park it at the hotel. The food in the restaurant was not very good quality and quite overpriced, also the response time of the staff was quite slow.

We stayed at this hotel as a part of a college reunion. I was accompanied by my wife. We were in a group of 43 on a full board basis and our group were assigned 23 rooms all over the hotel. At first glance the hotel and it’s setting is idyllic, with beautiful manicured gardens and flowers surrounded by spectacular mountains and valleys. There are two kinds of accommodations at this hotel. Most of the rooms are in the main building on two floors, ground and above that. In addition, they have four or five chalets that are separate from the main building. We were initially given a room on the ground floor, on the right side of the main building. However, when we got to it, not only did it have dirty used dishes of someone’s lunch, but the room was dark due to dark floor tiles. But most importantly, there was a strong smell of feces coming from the bathroom that had wafted into the entire room. We immediately complained and after a bit of reluctance on the reception’s part, we were given another room on the extreme left of the main building, still on the ground floor. This room had been built recently and was cheerful and bright. But there was the same smell of feces coming from the bathroom. On closer investigation, I noticed a brown fluid in the commode, and I realized that the toilet had been used but not flushed. Flushing took care of that and the smell became less. Since we were tired and not looking for another show down with the reception staff, we opted to stay here. When we returned from dinner, the toilet bowl again had the brown water. That’s when we realized that there is a plumbing defect so that fecal material backs up from the sewer about 15 minutes after it is flushed. That explained the foul smell in the bathroom! At breakfast the next morning, we realized that all our friends who had rooms on the ground floor had the same problem. But none of the rooms on the upper level, or those in the chalets had that problem. Basically, the toilets on the ground floor have poor plumbing that allows sewer water to back up. Also, the bathrooms are poorly designed so that the shower water flowed across the entire length of the bathroom to a drain at the other end. Therefore, the bathroom floor was always wet with soapy water. The only thing good about the bathroom was that they had ample hot water in the mornings, though only luke warm water in the evenings. Other than the bathrooms, the rest of the hotel was as perfect as any hotel in a mountainous area in Pakistan could be. The sheets and comforters were reasonably clean. The towels were not threadbare. And our room had a large verandah that was not boxed in by glass panels so that we had a wonderful view of the mountains and valley. We did not have wifi in our room. The hotel served excellent food. We got good weather so that they served breakfast and lunch in the garden surrounded by flowers, glorious sunshine and a spectacular view. Dinner was in the dining room as it got rather

Booked this hotel as a last resort but were surprised by the service that was offered. I have read complaints of their service from other reviews but on the contrary the staff was very accommodating. The rooms are not great but the hotel offers a very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space for families to sit and chill. We were not expecting to have food at the hotel but on the first day got too late to go out and ordered at the hotel. To our surprise the food quality was good. Though not everything in the menu was available but still the quality was good. They offer good quality chai (served hot). Kids were delighted to get their pancakes served with Hershey’s syrup for breakfast. I will definitely recommend it to people traveling with families. One thing to note is that the hot water is available during certain hours (7 am - 11 am and 7 pm - 11 pm).

The resort is recently constructed so comparatively cleaner than the others in the area. However, they are not following any SOPs. They do not provide sanitizers, dettol, hand-wash in their washrooms. TV was not working. The staff was not very honest in their dealings. They tried to fool us and added items in our bill to charge us more. However, the view is absolutely beautiful.
