The staff was super friendly. The hotel is relatively close to the national park and the beach. Despite the short distance, the heavy traffic and lack of footpaths mean that shuttle buses are always turned away. There is a shuttle every hour from the hotel. Compared to other hotels on our trip, the value for money here was not particularly good. Because of the price, we had higher expectations. But maybe that's also because we didn't really like the style of the hotel.

Gaia is a wonderful resort. We spent 5 wonderful nights here. The resort is beautiful - breath taking views of the ocean from the pool. I highly recommend the tapas and happy hour drinks while enjoying the sunset in the sky lounge- the views of the sun going down over the ocean were magnificent. Breakfast and Dinner at the restaurant were also excellent. We were so tired after our long day we didn't want to go off the property but we didn't need to - there was a variety of tasty items to choose from on the menu - including a lot of vegetarian options for my husband. The restaurant servers gave great service and then of course - the views were amazing. The service was excellent across the board. Gaia is VERY organized - from the moment you arrived at the gate - they had the golf cart ready to take you up the hill to the hotel - you didn't have to wait for anything. We had a concierge assigned to us by the name of Alex. Alex quickly took care of our every need while we were at Gaia - from dinner and spa reservations to making sure the shuttle picked us up from Manuel Antonio. He even arranged for an early and late check outs as the hotel wasn't completely booked. We talked to several other guests who also had Alex as their concierge - each said he went above and beyond in different ways. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay - but yet was also not overwhelming. Gaia - you are lucky to have Alex. I definitely recommend Gaia - located close to everything in the area, luxurious but intimate. Everyone remembered our names - we felt like welcomed family.

Amazing time spent at the beautiful Gaia Resort in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Highlights of the trip included getting to know the Hospitality Team - our concierge Alex was available 24/7 to assist us in navigating and arranging all details of our day. The resort has more of a private villa feel. This was my first visit to Costa Rica and having Alex and the team available enabled us to settle in quickly, relax and enjoy this beautiful country!

We just came back from spending 4 nights here. I will start with the positives the service was impeccable. They give you a personal concierge and we got Alex. Alex was incredible he booked everything for us and made things so easy. He was wonderful to us and made us feel like VIPs!!! He’d go out of his way for us - when we made dinner reservations he automatically booked taxis for us. Now the cons the hotel itself is so so the rooms are big but need major upgrades. Our shower was in the tub and would flood the bathroom each time we showered. The pool was always dirty. It it wasn’t for Alex I’d give a lower rating.

Had a great experience at gaia hotel. Lots of activities to do in the area and the staff is great here. Also, the food is amazing at the restaurant in the hotel. Recommend staying here while in Costa Rica.
