What a beautiful experience we had at Marari. The staff are so warm and courteous. They knew we had come for our first anniversary and they arrange a special cake for us and made it extra special. Adarsh and Jithin from the serving team we so warm and caring. Shibu who was a multi talented person took us around and helped us in spotting so many birds and other creatures I would highly recommend his activities specially owl parliament (owl spotting) We signed up for yoga classes aa well which was so good. This is a great place for couples as well as families Lots of activities. The food was so fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend

It’s a lovely heritage property on the edge of a beautiful lake. First impression ruins a holiday and this was the case here the customer was told they lied, that we arrived two hours after we actually did. None accepted the fact that a fault was made, turned it to our mistake for not booking direct or accepting a ‘better’ room. The GM was aggressive redacted offers made on first evening, relished making two senior women feel devalued and insulted. The owner has not replied to our email. We booked transfers through hotel, got to dock waited, left, after sometime we turned back? - waited again the new people joined us, we finally arrived much later than expected. On the last morning we were informed we had not booked a return transfer. UNBELIEVABLE petty much! We were offered an upgrade - I would have A. Broken an ankle or some other injury going down spiral stairs to the bathroom during the night. B. Slept on the sofa downstairs C. A room that THEY had said would be unsuitable for our chronic health conditions We managed to get some food and drink much later and FiNALLY got the correct room at 9pm. The room was nice lots of quirky Knick knacks kettle fridge safe comfortable bed and a jungle shower. The pool is large mainly empty, so good swimming the property is full of families honeymooners and foreigners. It has a limited range of activities. The restaurant staff are kind and attentive there is variety of food but they know little of allergies and do not cater well for them. On the third day I got ragi gluten free pancakes . Taj hotels are much better in that respect. While they have wheel chairs etc accessibility may be limited. It has been my worst experience ever a beautiful property with sexist mysoginistic heart

Krishna From Reception had amajor role in providing home away from home feeling. Hospitality was warm and so extraordinary. Excellent property Authentic food had a very happy stay Will defined come back in future. .. If you want an experience of lifetime please do visit the property

From check in to check out we enjoyed our stay at Taj. Staffs were really attentive, courteous and always greeted with a smile. Especially Ms.Priya was very helpful and professional. She took the time to assist us with our questions and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. She truly exemplified excellent customer service, making us feel valued and welcome. It is a huge property that offers a lot of indoor activities to do. Rooms are as well huge with pretty good views. Totally it's an excellent stay.

Getting There - 2hrs drive from Kochi airport. The hotel arranged for a transfer taxi. 5,000/- one way. Arrival- Welcomed with chandan tika, welcome drink, cold towel and a big smile by the staff. Room- Got it early then the checkin time. Rooms are big, well lit with good views. But they need a lot of maintenance and refurbishment. Hotel- Green, peaceful, clean. Food & Restaurants - Only 1 restaurant with limited menu. But everything we ordered was delicious and good in portion size.

Excellent hotel in the middle of Fort Kochi, fantastic food, beautifully restored piece of history. Can easily walk or take a rickshaw to all Fort Kochi sights from here. The staff was wonderful - especially in the restaurants. The front desk could’ve been more accommodating, pushed us for early checkout despite numerous requests since we were travelling with kids and then took their time with generating bills making us wait. They also didn’t have too many suggestions on must see sights - so a well informed concierge would be a good idea. The spa was small but good and we received a wonderful Ayurvedic massage there.

This place clearly is past its prime from the looks of it. Our Deluxe Lagoon view room is past its ‘best by’ date. The furniture is fraying, the mirror has big stains, the room had a stink when we checked in, the aircon works only at one setting - 19 degrees. The woodwork has been shoddily repaired, the glass door has turned yellow with grime. The maintenance and upkeep of the property evidently de***ds serious attention. Sadly, when I attempted to show some pictures of the room to the ***agement, it barely caused any concern. I was informed that the extended Covid lockdown - and the tropical climate and moist air, has taken a huge toll on the property. In other words, we really can’t do much! However, supposedly a revamp of the property is underway - doesn’t help us though. While the explanation maybe valid, the nonchalant response was galling and totally unexpected. And any way, why shouldn’t we, as paying guests, expect better? At breakfast this morning, the papaya was un-ripened, the pineapple was overripe and discoloured. And the best. - they couldn’t find decent, fresh and ripe local bananas to serve! At lunch, the Thai green curry was spicy - so spicy and none of us four could eat more than one spoon. We refused to eat it and asked them to take it back. Yet amazingly, it appeared on our bill - no apologies offered. Naturally, we refused to pay for the dish. Quite eventful first 24 hours.

Professional, supportive staff at every level. The hotel was clean and hygienic.Breakfast was awesome.
