The place is in a beautiful little town overseeing much appreciated estatua del redentor de maratea. Between 10-15 minute drive to the near beaches.

Abbiamo trascorso qui un piacevolissimo weekend tra amici. La struttura è molto confortevole e pulita, sita in posizione strategica per girare a piedi tra i vicoletti del centro storico. Panorama mozzafiato. Stanze grandi e luminose. Colazione ottima. Il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile. La piscina è una vera chicca per chi vuole rilassarsi. Gli arredi sono molto particolari. Great spot. Beautiful view. Maratea Centro is a very cool little town above the beaches and port - just a 10 minute drive to many beaches. The service was excellent, sitting by the pool was great, and the hotel gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Also conveniently the path to walk up to the Redeemer Statue is just steps away and takes less than an hour.

Quest’hotel è ubicato in una posizione comoda per chi vuole vivere la città antica di Maratea ma di conseguenza è sconsigliato per chi vuole vivere principalmente le spiagge e la zona marina. La struttura è incastonata tra abitazioni storiche e per spostarsi nell’hotel è inevitabile dover passare in un labirinto di scale senza possibilità di abbattere le barriere architettoniche proprio per la conformazione della struttura. La piscina è piccola ma molto bella e piacevole! L’hotel è ben frequentato ma trovo i prezzi alti. Infatti, nonostante si trovi nel centro della città, le stanze sono molto piccole ed umide. Il servizio è ottimo, tutti sono gentili e disponibili; meno la pulizia che è stata appena sufficiente. Comodo anche il parcheggio. Sono stato molto tentato sul valutare questo hotel con 3 o 4 pallini… Alla fine ho scelto 3 perché ad essere onesti quando sono andato via ho soggiornato un’ulteriore notte in un B&B nella zona marina di una città limitrofa, ho pagato molto meno e sono andato via più soddisfatto; questo non può che voler dire che questo hotel dovrebbe fare di più. Piccolo “giustificativo”: ho girato diversi hotel a Maratea ed il livello generale (bassino) non è proporzionato ai prezzi. In questa ottica La Locanda delle Donne Monache non è manco male.

Séjournant à Maratea un soir de semaine, mi-septembre, nous avons eu la chance d’être ‘surclassés’ par l’établissement qui nous a octroyé une chambre avec vue sur le village, relativement spacieuse. Cet hôtel situé dans un ancien monastère a le charme des pousadas portugais et paradores espagnols. Carrelage ancien, meubles en bois sculpté, dédale de couloirs… Le coin piscine est magnifique, au pied d’un clocher et dominant la vallée… Le service est ultra prévenant. Le parking est situé en bas, il y a des escaliers, prévoir pour les moins sportifs de déposer les bagages avant de se garer : il y a une petite place ‘depose-minute’ devant l’hôtel. Une très belle adresse.

Even though its a large hotel it gives a feeling of a warm and comfortable family run B&B yet with the luxuries of high end Hotels. The breakfast is nice and the location is lovely. The staff are nice and friendly too. The layout of the Hotel is much like an old large house than a Hotel.
