Rainbow Bend Resort

This place is mediocre. We paid $250 a night including the resort fee. Not sure what the resort fee is really for… Nothing is maintained. The pool had bird droppings all over the entrance. The pool towels were always empty. The beach was not cleaned. The ocean entrance was full of trash and rotting sea grass. The restaurant door was broken and we tripped over the threshold twice. The restaurant is only open to guests for breakfast and you can tell the staff does not want to be there. I asked for no butter on my pancakes and still got butter twice! The place was run down and dirty. Our room was very large so that was nice. Again lots of maintenance issues. No water pressure in the bathroom. The sink was falling off the wall and ants were coming through the wall. The shower was very large but again maintenance issues. The threshold was broken and water leaked everywhere. The shower fixture was loose and when you tried to adjust it the whole thing moved. In the bedroom the bed was comfortable and had ample pillows. The remotes were very dirty. The overhead light did not work. Several of the windows were very very old metal windows, the heat was pouring in and no sound dampening. We could hear everything outside. In the kitchen it was nice to have a full size refrigerator. The provided utensils were dirty and in a dirty tray. We had to rewash them. The couch was made out of some plastic material and was grimy. It was nice to not fight for a beach chair was the smell of the rotting sea grass was terrible and also brought in a-lot of bugs. I have about 30 bug bites on each leg that I’ve never gotten before in the keys. One day we used the paddle boards which was fun. At night it was loud with all the guests talking and dogs barking outside our room. The first night we even heard what sounded like a leaf blower in the middle of the night. There is quite a few people that live on site with dogs. It’s a pretty good distance into town.

We had an amazing stay! Our room was right near the pool. We enjoyed having breakfast included with our stay! The waiter was friendly, fantastic and very efficient! The office texted every day to check and see if we needed anything! They were very helpful and friendly!

Very disappointed Do Not stay here, paid $360 to stay at a “resort” that had no WIFI which was suppose to be repaired but was not The door to our room did not lock unless you used the deadbolt, the bottom lock was falling off, could only give us one key because they only had one key to the deadbolt which was the only way to lock the door, but not to worry they said it is a “low crime area” There is no air conditioning in the bedroom, only front room, again paid $360 for the night shameful ******* won’t be using you again!

Excellent location & beautiful beach. Felt like old school Keys. Very peaceful, quiet & relaxing. Full breakfast was good. The resort itself is a bit worn and tired…needs some TLC and maintenance. Cleaning could be better. Arrived to dirty sheets and lack of hot water. The staff immediately corrected both issues. Very friendly staff. Dinner at the Hideaway Cafe was excellent!!

Great property right on the water. Love their beach area. Excellent friendly & helpful staff. Would absolutely stay here again.

We have stayed here several times and are never disappointed. Accommodations are just right for us, and it's always a very relaxing place to enjoy the beautiful views and unwind. Spending our days running around and shopping at some of the local shops, catching some rays and fishing. We are never ready to leave. The breakfast here is a great start to the day. (Please bring back the biscuits and gravy though so my husband will quit pouting. :) ) They go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Eva texts every day to make sure you have what you need. We will see you next year!

Cafe was very good food. Room efficient and clean.
